If it's the Oink transfer he's talking about I think it's just because that really wasn't done with a great setup. Playing the actual vinyl there isn't any lack of attack. It sounds great on my modest vinyl setup as well.

If you are able to demo the Stax line in Japan, I would try and hear the vintage offerings or the SR-007. The SR-Lambda is a very good headphone, and a great intro to electrostats.

I prefer it on vinyl. We did a shootout against the CD and my vinyl on a really pimped Aries3. The vinyl has more presence, that's the best way I can put it. The bass on the track The Fragile is simply unreal on the LP.

I just started to mess around with the online radio stations with the SB3. Just curious what your favorite online radio stations are? I'm mostly interested in jazz, classical, blues and experimental rock but any and all suggestions are welcome.

I have never heard the A250 (didn't really buy into to the fotm when people were hyping them up to me amazing). It's hard for me to describe the ESP/950 midrange, it's closest to the Sennheiser HE60 if you've heard those. Otherwise I can't offer much in the way of opinion

Al just curious what you've compared it to? Having heard and really disliked most of the RSA products (except for my SR-71), I'm skeptical that it could beat out a Pass Labs or EAR phono at similar price points.
