I've found the long walk to work (about 20-25 minutes) helped maintain my weight at the least.

food one bowl of pure win (1,000,000) total calories: 1,000,000
  4. One shouldn't even be comparing the L3000 and Edition 9 (vomit) in the same sentence.
  5. It's a good time to be a Russian
  6. KG has our high end stat amp covered, Craig needs to make a turntable
  7. Cool, thanks Dan. Thanks Nate, if the thing with Dan doesn't work out I've found a Targus one for only a bit more money.
  8. It's a Compal CL56. It really is perfect for everything I use it for, and is pretty light and thin for a 15" notebook. A replacement of similar proportions and power would be at least $800. NOT what I need seeing how I have a shit load of other things I have to pay for in the coming months.
  9. Mother fucker the good "brand name" adapters aren't cheap (Targus and the likes). God damn this has been a pretty shitty month.
  10. I sent my laptop to get the charging pin replaced about a month ago. They did a fine job, but sent me a replacement charging cable/brick since the connector on my old one was a bit worn down. The replacement didn't exactly exude confidence in build quality It was working fine for a month, but just now I saw a spark in the middle of the cable which then caught into a small flame and burned a hole through the rubber covering. Fortunately it went out by itself and my computer wasn't damaged. If I had my camera I'd post pictures of the cable; it's not a pretty sight.
  11. Happy birthday, take a break from indexing our threads!
  12. Even if someone at the Colorado meet opened it up, how would they know what was going on?
  13. My experience is the SR-007 MK1 farts and the Lambdas squeak (moving plastic parts) Fortunately the Omegas only fart when I deliberately break the seal by taking them off, and not when I'm moving around. The Koss do neither.
  14. Does the SR-007A/MKII have that glorious metal bar that goes across the driver like the SR-007 MK1?
  15. That's jjcha's old amp right? It's a really nice amp, and I agree that it is just as good or better than the Beta22.
  16. Thanks for that info
  17. Just get an MK I All the parts are user replaceable, and Stax will support it for a long time.
  18. What conversion properly? SR-007 drivers in a SR-Omega housing or SR-Omega drivers in a SR-007 housing? If the former I thought the SR-007 housing was far superior? Actually I thought both the SR-007 drivers and housing even when considered separate were supposed to be better designs. I could be way off base though
  19. I haven't been trying to obtain one. I would have bought Afrikane's one that was very reasonably priced; the driver instability/unavailability is what is keeping me at bay.
  20. Posting this from the SinglePower thread (didn't want to derail it) There are 500 SR-Omegas out there? Why are they so hard to come by
  21. They're having fire sale on HD-DVDs. OH MY GOD WE'RE HAVING A FIRE sale /Arrested Development
  22. Xbox 360 with HD-DVD add on.
  23. Graveyard bump. I've once again started looking into a high end TT despite not being rooted in a house yet Does anyone know how much a VPI Aries 1 would go for? Or any comments about it? I've been speaking to my buddy and he thinks the Aries1 with aluminum platter would be to my liking. We both agreed his Aries3 with acrylic platter is more of an "acquired" taste.
  24. Translation: barmar you need a vinyl rig
  25. 300 ES-1s? I have a hard time believing that too...
