  1. I wasn't too impressed with the SACD performance on the 5400ES, I ended up selling it on Audiogon. The soundstage was always quite narrow and flat. Tonally there was nothing wrong with it. But comparing the SACD layer to the hybrird redbook layer on my Assemblage DAC 2.5 the DAC was a clear winner with soundstage depth and size. The RCA Living Stereo discs were my reference and the micing techniques can be strange on some of them, but most are very good. Also someone on AA debunked what Sony said about using custom DACs and filters, I believe it is using a PCM1796, but I will have to double check on that. edit: found the AA post http://www.audioasylum.com/forums/hirez/messages/26/267151.html
  2. Stereofeet - Jester of Courts
  3. The only tracks I wasn't crazy about were the last two. IMO Codex would have been a really good closer for the album.
  4. Alright on first listen new album is tits. I got a Kid A/Amnesiac vibe and it sounds so good on the Omega 2 good stuff, going to blast it on the speakers tomorrow

  7. IMO In Rainbows was too conservative, I hope Matt is right that it is more experimental. Love OK Computer, Kid A and Amnesiac.
  8. Happy birthday

  18. I didn't, I got the base model with the Core i3 with an upgrade to 4 GB of memory. 5 hours battery life should be enough for me since my longest ward rounds are 4 hours. I am pretty damn happy with the price from the Lenovo website, considering it has a removable battery, faster processor, more memory, and better build compared to other more expensive laptops.
  19. ThinkPad T410 14" reimbursed by work

This happened to me yesterday morning. Drive way was spotless except for the chunks of dirt/ice/snow the road plow left at the end of the driveway, I did a half ass job cleaning it up and thought my Civic would be able to plow through it. Got stuck The inside of my garage floor looks disgusting. Chunks of brown ice where the cars park and all the crud underneath the wheel wells which is a PIA to clean.
  23. Music Matters 45rpm, in mono
  24. Signed up through my work email, it looks neat
