New Year, new diet!
carbs and sugar carbs and sugar carbs and sugar. cut 'em and lose weight. we're flavor addicts in the western world, and we love in-your-face plates of flavor injected flavor. I'm a firm believer in making non-processed foods as large a part of ones diet as possible, even if said food has more fat in it then its processed brethren. The problem with de-fatted foods is they are pumped up with bullshit to take the fats place, bullshit that is always loaded with empty carbs which make us gain weight anyway. Even sugar substitutes should be only an occasional treat. Splenda in unsweet tea is my personal favorite. I lost 35 pounds this past year cutting carbs and sugar, zero exercise. I was pretty overweight though at 235, 5'11". Now I hover around 205, and while I occasionally enjoy an ice cream or white flour biscuit, for the most part my meals consist of lean meats and leafy green vegetables. It really took a mindset and lifestyle change for me. I think your doctor's idea is a good one, but I would take out the fruit and go JUST veggies. Of course I'm just some guy on the internet though. Good luck!

I don't think it's the moderation so much as the quality of user generated content.

How has your rig changed in 2008? And do you have any plans for 2009?
oh no x.

Your recent music purchases
I've got a real itchy finger for that Miles Davis box. I really want it but its hard to stomach dropping $300 like that. Easier to space it out over a few months.
- Happy New Year my friends!

Its true, your rig might be the most HC approved rig ever. It's pure win on budget to performance, and of course in the all important manufacturer acceptance category.

They Might Be Giants
Yeah Ana Ng did totally rock out the one time I saw them at the Variety in ATL. They also did the entire "Fingertips" medley from Apollo 18, which was ridiculous hot. Glad to see TMBG gets some love around here, they are a special band. I bought a pristine LP of their first album from Geoman. "Don't Lets Start" is one of my favorites.

They Might Be Giants
Though its a band I don't listen to that much, maybe because I lost all of their CDs over the years, but TMBG has consistently been one of my all time favorite bands since I was 13 years old. Back then I only had ears for bands like Metallica, GNR, Slayer, and Pantera, but somehow TMBG squirmed their way in there. They spoke to my dorky metal heart in a way no band really has since, except maybe Phish. Anyone else a fan? I never see any TMBG in the WAYLT thread so I thought I'd ask.

CanJam 2009
Its my understanding that Tyll can perform marriages in several western states. As for me, I'll probably be in attendance. Won't know for certain until the vacation is booked with the boss and the plane tickets are bought. BTW I think having the event at the airport hotel is a very nice touch. Makes travel very simple.

Official Head-Case Audio Confessional (post your (audio)sins here)
home owners insurance costs are astounding. still, I love my home so much, and have never regretted it's purchase for an instant. my headphone rig is stable, HD800 not withstanding, and my TT is safe from major change in 09 aside from tweaks, but speaker amplification will change.
