  1. 13 LPs (lighty scruffy sleeves but not damaged) 15 Box sets of LPs [3-6 per box] (very good condition) Book - 1001 albums to hear before you die Kenwood KX-3080 cassette player Watchmen comic book All for about £30. A good harvest from the charity shops. Esp since they usually expect £7 for a copy of ELP - Brain Salad Surgery with a torn sleeve and a trench left by a chisel over the entire of side B.
  2. I could put them on top of the DSS-9 and disconnect the DSS-9 mids and tweeter. Allo. Instant sub/stand. Hopefully be here tomo afternoon. Also, I just bought a cassette tape deck. So nothing but the finest source for this, obv.
  3. I am about to home-demo a pair of 57s which are for sale locally. See if they're a solution for downsizing from the Soundlabs. I do not expect them to push like the Pioneers, but we shall see how the famous midrange plays for me.
  4. Refurbing them isn't hard, and if you don't do what I posted as a guide and instead use the right tools and equipment instead of simply what you had laying about, then you'll be well served. But I'll do it if you're really keen on the scottish shipping system.
  5. I'd say the SR-3N is worth good money, but good enough that for a bit more, you might get a Lambda, and though I very much like the SR-3N like I like the Float 2, the Lambda is a better headphone. ps WTB: Float 2.
  6. I did very like my SR-3N with SRD-6. Best £15 I spent. Later on, the best £135 someone paid me.
  7. I think that you're allowed to if you have a new drink. Or if you've smeared warpaint over yourself.
  8. Not Asian. But drunk enough to trend. Sorry I'm not asian.

    RIP Peter Falk

I've yet to see a duff Jack Lemmon film. The Odd Couple is another of my absolute favourites (although I have to give preference to Matthau in that). Also Glengarry Glen Ross, where Lemmon bested Al Pachino, Ed Harris et al. However I don't wish to derail from Falk. I will remember him with fondness.

    RIP Peter Falk

My absolute favourite film as a kid and still one of my dearest is The Great Race. For me, Falk will always be Max, the henchman to Jack Lemmons Professor Fate. RIP.
  15. He turned down what would have worked out at about $400,000,000 for playing Gandalf in LOTR, also he wants Scottish Independence (but even if that happens, isn't going to move back). So he's more than mad enough to have his secretary type out something like that.
  16. I'm not sure I like the idea of diluting my Fernet Branca in coke. Not that I won't give it a go.
  17. I learned to type on a BBC Micro. I'll be glad never to have to use a keyboard like that again. At least it wasn't a Sinclair ZX-80.

  22. All my bow ties are proper ones. Clip-ons are cheating. If I look English as a Scot, that still fits with British though.
