    That image is scary.
  2. I don't get this purists thing? What is he talking about
  3. Just purchased a pair a couple of months ago. They were really beautiful cans as I had the Cocobolo wood on them. I read the hype and decided to take a chance on them when they came up for sale. When I got them I couldn't believe how much bass was on them. I like bass, but that was way too much bass for me. I then saw a deep cup darth FS and gave that a shot. I thought it was world's better than the regular darths, but it still wasn't for me. I sold them as well and I haven't looked back. But the one thing for certain is that both cans looked great. There are a lot of people that like them, but again it wasn't the sound I was looking for. :shrugs:
  4. Never knew they made those types of styles. I like those black ones.
  5. Great thread. That sounds like a wonderful time you had swt61. I'm sure you will never forget it. If DNA has anything to do with it you're going to live a long time too . Just reading it put a smile on my face. Great to see your family on such a happy occasion. Wow 50 years. My mother's parents had their 50 year anniversary a long time ago. They have both passed on, but it was a really happy occasion. That is a huge milestone. Have a wonderful time

Thanks for the link. Looks like it is down now, but I'll try it again later. What type of software is it?
  7. Got up and went to the shopping mall today with my family. Had some sushi for lunch and later had homemade ice cream at Bubbies which is a local ice cream shop. I had the Peanut butter and chocolate chip and green tea ice cream (I know weird combination, but they are both really good). After that I brought a couple of CDs and then did some jogging on the treadmill. Went to CPK (California Pizza Kitchen) for dinner and had their pizza called "The Works". Went to the market, got the weekly groceries and even picked up something that was recommended here called, "Ben and Jerrys Peach Cobbler". Then I put my son to sleep and I'm on HC now just relaxing, listening to music
  8. That amp looks so sweet. Have fun listening to your music with it
  9. Same here . Those are the two from Miles Davis that I keep on grabbing over and over Peach Cobbler? Didn't know they made that. Now I gotta get me some

  13. Very nice Purk. Congrats on your new toy. "Only Yesterday" isn't that a Carpenters song on your Sony? Any way have fun and enjoy your weekend listening to it Brought a HD600 this week and a HD580. Will be fun to have them both again
  14. Oh. Cool . Wow 90 to 100 libraries. That is great. Same here on exploring new music. The library here does have a lot of music too . Voltron and I have Rhapsody that helps me listen to a bunch of new music as well. It is a paid service, but for $8.99 a month I get to choose from over 2 million songs so it's really good. Also, you can listen to other subscribers playlists, create your own, and share them with friends. The other thing that is great is they have Celebrity playlist, and whenever you listen to a band they have they have their influences and contemporaries so you may learn about other artists as well. Overall I really like the service
  15. You mean like The Beatles "A Day in the Life" to "Days of Future Passed" by the Moody Blues
  16. This is a great thread. Thanks for starting this thread up Ryan as I was looking for a K340 eventually. Now I'm sort of tempted as I would drive it with either the B22 or SinglePower amp I have. Just like Nate I like the Senns a bunch. I'm very happy with how they sound with my SP amp. Since I haven't heard a K340 it is great to have some feedback on them as some have offered Thanks everyone
  17. Very cool. Thanks Dusty. Just checked out Plagiarist.com That's great Aerius. I use my library and pickup CDs and books. The library near my house is starting a Jazz collection. They have about 50 now and they have 50 more on order. There online system is great to where I am able to request CDs and then they mail me (I know I wish they had email alerts ), when they are in or you could check online. They also are able to bring it to the library of your choice to pickup the books and CDs. I actually had CDs and books come from libraries that were on some of the other Hawaiian island. I just borrowed these from my library:
  18. We have a poet. Very cool Dusty
  19. Those are fun times Same as Dusty. Just got up and came to work. Making the morning Joe for everyone here . Okay, now I have to see it. Maybe I could rent it for tonight.
  20. Great news.
  21. I actually want to check out National Treasure II. How did you like it?
  22. You've been very, very busy. Well I didn't do much yesterday besides work, more work, and listening to tunes. Oh and I watched some Toy Story 2 with the son. Other than that I tried to hide my wallet from purchasing more gears
  23. Glad you and your family are okay.
  24. Now that I think about it I do remember threads when an RS1 was broken and it was purchased used, the OP contacted Grado and they sent it in and they fixed it . That's a good point about there statement product should hold up better than that . I would definitely check with Grado too.
  25. Have to check out JB Weld later. I knew someone here could recommend something This is a good question by Tkam. I would definitely try to go through the dealer unless you brought these used. I just assumed you might have picked them up used so then you could try a fix on your end or try Grado.
