Big changes happening. First off, after a decade MixClown is now limiting free users to 10 visible uploads. That means I won't be posting any more sets there after Dec 1st. Mixlr has rolled out their "Channels" feature. Last Friday's show is up: All the music is there, but the last couple minutes of my rant got cut off because of Mixlr's imposed time limit. I blame Chrome.

Did Apple do something fucky with outgoing message tones recently? My sainted, octogenarian mother wants to hear an audio confirmation for an outgoing message (both text and email) and her iPhone (running the latest OS) will not. I have diagnosed part of the problem. It looks like the iPhone only uses an outgoing message sound with the stock Mail app, not the GMail app. I'm mystified as to the outgoing text message tone. There isn't even an option to change it in Settings as best I can make out.

I watched RedLetterMedia's Half in the Bag episode on the new Halloween movie. I love RLM as "background, folding laundry" content. At one point they were talking about the significance of the radio tower in the film. I looked up and saw this clip of the radio DJ: *sputter* That's an RE-20. You know, the mic I've used for (nearly) 25 years at this point. They have it pointing at the floor. I am irrationally enraged by this oversight.
