What is the highest decible rateing that you've ever gotten a good fart to? Where there any casualties as a result?

You need enough time to sober up and for the drugs to wear off to find your about to loose all your friends from something you posted. We don't need any more of the "OMG, did I post that? As promised. Naykid pictures. Actually, this is one big nice sized board, very well populated. You look inside some CDP's and find a very tiny unpopulated board, in a very thin walled flimsy case. The Apollo's case is thick cast Alum., and built like a tank.

I truly wish I could be there. Having to work on this house to get it ready for sale sucks.

I collect Olympic quality Airpistols. Have quite a few. They run anywhere from $1500 to $4500 each. I am also a Ham radio operator. That is a huge money pit. And lets not forget the amp and Les Paul Custom. Oh yeah! I almost forgot. I collect women too. I have four of them here at the house. One blond, one brunette, one inbetween, and one that can't seem to find a color she is happy with.

I think that I have talked RAM into doing a "tube audio output modified " version on my IPod. It will also feature balanced outputs. I am waiting for a reply as he said he probably would do it, but wants time to think about it.

Well you have to realize that the 3910 modded sounds as good as the sum of it's modded parts plus it's original goodness. The DAC is just one modded area but adds to the completness.

To make more clear, the mods were almost $1500 plus $1400 for the cost of the Denon. Buy used if you can find one. Good luck. I wish I had gotten stage three but did not have enough money for it. So it will go back sometime in the future.

Yea, and I don't nessessarily agree with all APL does to a Denon. Kinda like loving something to death. They mod it to death.

Oh! Bad and good news to report. I sold the Denon 2910. As stated above, I paid $850 a year ago for it. Than this Feb. I spent $715 with a complete SACDmods. After break-in it was still way to bright/solid stateish. So I sold it for $960. Now for the good news. Uh, hmmmm uh lets see now. OH YEA! I bought a second stage HRAM modded Denon 3910 (no tubes) for $1500. Ah, much much much better. The following is a reprint from HRAM: We are a partner of APL Hi-Fi and are the solution for those of you that do not want to spend $5,000 or wait for the time it takes Alex to complete his incredible mods. If you are simply using the 3910 as a transport then a Stage I upgrade is all you will need. The difference this upgrade makes is utterly STUNNING. To understand what we do in the STAGE II you must first know a little about the 3910. First off, this player (as well as the 2910, and 5910) has a separate 2-channel output. These outputs contain the "audiophile" circuit path behind them. The downfall of this circuit is that it employs "mix-down" signal processing for listening to multi channel material on a 2-channel system. Not only that, but Denon's idea of "audiophile" opamps and capacitors are much different than ours. In order for the 3910 to output twin sets of front left and right outputs it uses two stereo DAC's. The first thing we do is sacrifice the front left and right output of the 5.1 analog outputs to utilize that DAC for the left channel of the 2-channel output. We then disable the "mix-down" processing and use the other DAC for the right channel of the 2-channel output. This now runs the DAC's in parallel where a discreet DAC is used for each channel. This is the digital equivalent of using monoblock amplifiers. Not only does it totally improve efficiency and gain but it improves channel separation and signal to noise ratio. The audible results of this modification are nothing short of astounding. It gives a much fuller sound with a liquid midrange for a truly analog experience. Instrument placement is unbelievably accurate. Vocals have a spooky presence. With this modification the player truly competes with ultra-high-end CD players. STAGE III * All Stage I & Stage II upgrades. * Upgrade output jacks to WBT NexGen pure silver RCA jacks. * Rewire outputs with pure silver / Teflon? output wire. * Upgrade output coupling caps to Telfon? film and foil. * Upgrade key signal path resistors to audio-grade non-magnetic type. * Upgrade power supply voltage regulator to audio-quality TentLabs? shunt regulator. * $1,499 if you send us your unit. The G08 has been out for some time now and a new round of technology is just hitting the market. This one with 20 mb of memory, a new "main brain" or CPU (supposedly the most advanced in the industry), a new specially made transport, super fast clock, new "Class A audio output section, and six power supplys. I will have more comments after the breakin. Oh yeah! The Saturn. Hummmm! I will want to hear a few opinions when it comes out. Sometimes the upper model in a line-up is not regarded as well. Or maybe the Saturn will loose that sweet analogue sound the Apollo has for some other type of sound similar to the rest. If I hear it runs in the same "sound" vein as the Apollo, but just more of it, then I will get it too. I don't know how the Apollo could be topped, in the under $2000 price class, even by the Saturn; but we shall see.

This is only related to headphone listening. Sorry for having an opinion, but I stand by it. Listen to one and see for yourself. Pure Heaven. I will have more comments after the breakin.

A black one. I got the Apollo home and plugged it in. I did not wait for any warm-up what-so-ever. Holy cow! What great sounds. Way better than the E5 and I still have to break it in. I coulden't even think of how much greater a sound the upcomming Saturn might be. How could it be any better??? The sound is like analogue or being like Single Power's finest amp and most all other source units sounding like an OK solid state amp in comparison. I heard the G08 at the last meet for a limited time and was not bowled over. However it was only a brief few selections and A/B'd it with the E5 and found it only slightly better. The Apollo beats the G08 by a wide margine, at least. With the Apollo, you don't notice yourself listening for differences or nit picking/praising the unit, but rather hopelessly drawn into the music instantly. Just loving it.

Eddie Rex and a few others can identify with this one. I use to get beer by the half barrel and have it on tap. I would go down to our local hometown brewery, Hudipole Brew. Co. The parking lot was right between Butternut Bread Baking Co. (Interstate Brands) and the Hudy dock. Walking through you would gain ten pounds between the smell of fresh baked bread and freshly brewed beer. OH Heaven! I always got the Hoffbrau Hudipole flavor. "Sigh", The tap, brewing company, and Hoffbrau are no longer around. It was a true dark German beer. Most breweries just add a cup of "inka malt" into the barrel to darken the color. True dark beer is when you roast the hops to a dark color before brewing them. I know because I was a lab tech for Weideman Brewing company here in Cincy for awhile. The day my boss hired me he said you can drink all the beer you want during work, as long as you don't fall over. And he meant it. Oh, the stories I could tell.
