Well the first long distance phone call came and went. We discussed the HotRodAudioMods. Please do not go to H.R.A.M. They do very questionable things. Found some HRAM cold solder joints as well as a good time being had with a careless hand and a Dremel tool. The face of the modded op-amps were ground off as well as the coverings removed from installed cap mods. What was HRAM hideing with that? We could also talk about the criss cross wire patch job on the back of the audio/dack board too, but lets not. It looks like a NEW audio output will be a go. Also even more will be done to the power supply with Blackgates and regulators. I have a "good hand" at work on this one, this time around. He is one of the best in the business.

After all, It's just burning up money. :'(

The Denon 3910 has been to APL, Hotrod and now ??. What will the resultant sound be like? Hotrod did the dual dack (per channel) mod as well as the power supply mod. APL did the Multi clock mod and poor audio output mod. And ??? is doing the Audio Output mods as well as possibly re-doing the power supply mods. What will it sound like? Who knows. : : :

OMG! OMG! I just got my "PimplePopper Super Micro Mini Xtrasmall" portable amp and my "Boil Buds" headphone buds. It's the best I have ever heard. It's even better than the Sony ear buds. I delivered a lot of newspapers to afford this. My mom says I should have put the money aside for colledge. I told her that I am only 28 years old and have plenty of time to save for that. Right now I am in heaven. After break in I will give a 150 page review on both items.

Learn to play the "F" chord. Then just lay your index finger all across the strings and do the rest of the fingers like an "F" chord. Now as you move/slide your fingers up the fretboard (in that position) the chord becomes what ever fret your index finger is laying across named from the 1st. string. Do minors, 7th's ect. the same way.

Based on , what I found as, overwhelming performance from the Apollo; the answer will be a solid YES. That is if it isn't more than $1300 somewhere. Just as soon as I recoup from what I just spent on the new 30lb wonder I just bought. I am in the process of modding that too. It should be done and back home soon. I only got the chance to listen to that one for one hour before packing it off to be modded. None of the whole player is broken in yet from new. From what I gathered from the web site and from what I know of the Apollo, after modding that myself; it looks like the Saturn is just a modded Apollo. It uses the same latest Wolfsom dack chip but uses TWO in parallel on each side as opposed to one per side. It also features bigger and much better caps and resistors. I uses and even better master clock, and I thought the Apollo's was very good. The Class A output is beefed up also, with claims of better bass and slam. I also think that they use the same system board with just more on it as you could see places labled and marked off on the Apollo's board, that were empty.
