Keep in mind that the intro price is $425, and that's limited to 200 units (or whatever number he gave). The regular price is $425.

I'd say it's because the Pico sounds much better than the Predator and because with medium gain I had to crank the volume knob to maximum to get a decent volume level out of the thing. Also also, with a high gain setting of 11, makes it all but impossible to use.

I haven't noticed any lag and I use several USB devices on my computer along with the Pico.

Eh... the price is fair. Of course most of that money goes to the C pads, as the other stuff doesn't cost that much. Hmm, been kinda curious about the sextetts, but I would bet they are sold already.

In the case of the Opus it's a $5000 one and the comparison is more like $1599 vs. $5000 vs. whatever the philips originally sold for.
