  1. If need be, how does one get paid for providing you with the requested info?
  2. Me too. Though my Sumr transformers have been reliable with about 1000 hrs on them (with one of the HV transformers developing a light buzz early on). Design temp rise is 33C for filament and 26.4C for HV - but that is with 16 inches of air clearance while the KG chassis has roughly one inch of clearance. If I recall, the surface temps were into the >50C range. Though wouldn't mind having a beefier set as a back-up. And vertical fins would add a lot more surface area than the horizontal fins (but don't look nearly as bad ass). What sort of temps are you getting with vertical fins?
  3. No concerns - heat seems to be consistent with others and temp of traffos within range of expected heat rise (especially considering there is no clearance). What are you using for a chassis?
  4. Yeah, I too thought it was pretty clear that Beyer had a hand in its design and manuafacture.
  5. Hey Kevin, I see I am not the only one who sometimes forgets little things like this. But as you said, it doesn't really matter - having read through the thread regarding this issue before, people used both BL and GR without any consequence.
  6. Have people tried contacting Lil Knight (the OP)? He usually has boards.
  7. Looks real.
  8. How are you finding the 307? I have a pair I use for listening while I fall asleep (so I don't need to worry about what happens to them - I don't do this with 007 or 009), and I find they are hard to beat for the price (haven't heard any old Lambdas though) - good bass, very good mids, and highs are quite good too, though I listen at low volume. Seriously underrated pair of headphones.
  9. Ignore the usb on the bridge/expansion port as it is just used to upgrade the bridge software - it cannot be used for a music signal. The bridge is just the ethernet port, which users suggest is better than the other inputs the PWD offers.
  10. Have you had positive success with the remaining sellers or are they next on your hit list?
  11. Were your pacific-semi ones real at least?
  12. bdent's were pink for these, clear for others.
  13. They are identical except the left and right sides of the face are a sharp square edge but all my bdent ones are rounded slightly. And (if I recall correctly), the depression in the centre is missing. And yes, they come shipped in the bag shown (but well-packed). Bdent used bags as well.
  14. There was this, but didn't see anything further. I had bought some from there also but never ended up using them out of fear. But they tested identically to known authentic ones I had with my low grade DCA-Pro device (which does some assorted curve tracing).
  15. Just wondering which ebay seller carried the real ones.
  16. what about the above transistors? specifically the 2sJ79? Edit: the real ones that is.
  17. I need to stop checking this section - now I am buying a new wallet... and I now am checking out Heijis... need to stop....
  18. At least they are showing a picture of a fake instead of a real one.

Yes please, that would be appreciated, and thanks for the post.
  20. Wow, those are so clearly fake it is not funny - its like they aren't even trying.
  21. huh... now that is weird. Probably different suppliers over the years and the stock has mixed - the good with the bad. Guessing these resellers don't label the suspect/fake stuff separately from the real stuff.
  22. Would be odd for these to be fakes given they are high voltage. Those specs match what I have from 3675 parts from Bdent. You could try picking up one of these as a rudimentary curve tracer: http://www.peakelec.co.uk/acatalog/dca75-dca-pro.html I works very well (but doesn't do high voltage) and gives that extra piece of mind - it is expensive, but cheaper than using fake/bad parts.
  23. the phillips design is one of the worst for durability and slippage.
