I highly value pocket space, so maybe that'll be what happens. Might even just use my phone as the portable setup, sure it might not sound as good, but it is one less item to carry. But with the width of the two put together being slightly over the height of a quarter, it's quite intriguing.

portable setups are seriously approaching a size where I'd consider having one. Pretty sweet. How tight is the fit of the two items between that nuforce band?

Did a bit of gear swapping this year. I had just ended 07 with the selling my previous chain of beresford tc7510 + heed canamp. *Picked up 2 DACs, with the presonus, and a TransDAC which is currently away for mods. Who knows, someone always seems to have an inside sennheiser contact everytime this rumor comes about. Maybe if the results/e-mail could be replicated by someone else contacting them.

a 5 panel hat. no mirror around at the time, came back to find out it's a bit small on me, proportionally. I can make the hat fit, it's size adjustable with a strap. But the hat itself looks small on my head =/.

The new ibuds or whatever meet #2. The play/pause/fast forward button might not work, but it's there. GR Case should fit the cables well enough. Around $100, maybe more for shipping from Japan.

I think of them pretty much the same way i do of wesc headphones. I'd regard them as more of a fashion statement.

I bought 2 wallets from jomashop.com ... one bifold for normal use, and then one of those slimmer/front pocket ones. Best part was, after checkout, I realized I had one of the wrong wallets in the cart. Immediate contact to the shop to modify the order was worthless, apparently they don't check e-mails/their own modify order form which shows up right after checkout. Completely my fault it happened, but I really don't get what's up with customer service.

So...do you have a benchmark DAC1 or an Accustic Arts Dac 1-Mk4 ? You've named...two different dac1's. Seems kind of weird. I half suspect this is one of those posts in jests..hoping we'd recommend something crazy so you can point and laugh at the stereotype of an audiophile. But whatever. It's a nice long wait. Probably good time to do some reading, and look out for some mini-meets that might happen before the big one @ LA in 09. If you were to use the logitech transporter as a transport, then you might not need your sound card any longer. Might be able to sell it to fund part of the process.

I haven't read every page. so if someone already said this, my bad. I'd asked him about it too. He said it was for the convenience of setting up proper customer support at first. That way their reps would be more used to that stax unit. Since the tweaking/tuning configuration would be different for other headphones, just to make the process smoother in the begining he said it would be with the stax. I'd asked about the pricing, he also said around $3k with the stax. And, according to my memory--which is poor at best, he stated that the stax was roughly about 600 of that 3k.
