  1. Congrats Al. The DAC looks simply Moth, i.e. wonderfully retro.
  2. The flip side to this is when believers can't tell the difference in a blind test. To justify their beliefs, they belittle the test or say that it takes a lot of listening to hear the differences. You did this? Why? If you don't give a rat's ass, why are you ranting about it? If it really does take a long time to hear the difference, it's much more likely that one's brain has "broken in", not the equipment. The brain is many orders of magnitude more plastic and adaptive than any piece of hi fi equipment. However, if this is enhances your enjoyment of the hobby, then it is a good thing for you to do. Does it really matter if the differences are real or perceived? I don't think so.
  3. The Whole Foods in SB is the only local place where one can find Russian River brews. Even then, it's not much and goes quickly. I was in there yesterday and there was none. Fortunately, the beer guy told me that they would get the Supplication today. So I made another visit. Edit: It's also the only local beer store where I've found Kasteel Rouge.
  4. Vegan potato salad. Vegan green been salad with onions and tomatoes. Whole wheat hot dog buns. 3 bottles of Russian River Supplication Hooray for Whole Foods!
  5. Yes, you must have $10K interconnects or you are not doing the $250 amp justice.
  6. That's OK, I think that he has it backwards too.
  7. I'm sure that Mikhail brought in a lot more money than Markl has dreamed of. So you have the question backwards IMO.
  8. I agree. One strip of bacon isn't near enough. Sorry to hear about your ankle Vicki. Before doing anything, I suggest getting a second opinion.
  9. Sorry to hear that you are sunburned Shelly. I suggest that you also take aspirin or ibuprofen (acetominophen won't do it) as they both reduce pain and swelling, the two main symptoms of a sunburn.
  10. Are any NorCal HCers going to NorthStar Beerfest and Bluegrass Festival today?
  11. I thought that how to justify outrageous claims was covered in tort class.
  12. Sorry for your loss, Mike.
  13. Or you could just fly Biggie in to do it himself. Of course, feeding him might get expensive.
  14. Happy Birthday Biggie! :prettyprincess:
  15. Happy Birthday Mike. :prettyprincess: Have a great one!
  16. Happy Birthday Greg! :prettyprincess: Tonight you deserve only the best wine and we are going to make sure that you get it. Just as soon as you give us the key to your wine storage room.

  18. So you're saying that the LCD-2 is not a good headphone to which to listen when one is drunk?
  19. Just drank the Supplication. It is yummy but I think I prefer Consecration. They are similar but Consecration seems to have more layers of flavor. However, I didn't try them side-by-side so I reserve the right to change my mind on this.
  20. and biscuits. Happy Birthday Scott! :prettyprincess:
  21. I haven't tried Supplication yet. I love Consecration and feel that it's worth the $1/oz. cost. Supplication costs the same.
  22. Parrot food, parrot toy, Pliny, Supplication and Consecration.
  23. Was it a Dell? Now we know the cause of the fire.
