  1. The LBS did not a have a Shiny Object in stock so went with a Genuine Innovations Ultraflate Plus instead. Also ordered a Lezyne sport drive on eBay.
  2. It's not all bad. The forced march helped to even out my sun tan and I get to buy a new one. http://www.amazon.com/Portland-Design-Works-Inflator-Cartridge/dp/B002YEFY8I ??
  3. PICE OF CRAP PLANET BIKE C02 INFLATOR (The valve blew apart as soon as I screwed in the cartridge) The 16 mile walk made for an unpleasant reminder to check the inflator once in a while.
  4. Replaced an old light fixture with a sensor light. But whoops. Forgot to buy caulk.
  5. Found $50 along side the road tonight.
  6. A monitoring utility that can log the system's voltage readings would be helpful for sorting out if the PSU or the board is the problem. What's the Asus utility? AI suite or some such...
  7. Nice. Sorry to hear about the pulled rotator cuff. A little late for this year's "run" but the DALMAC looks like it would be fun. http://dalmac.org/
  8. I wasn't sure I was going to like it (not a fan of Clive Owen) but was disappointed when it ended. Looking forward to the next episode.
  9. Without the "clamp engaged" and ideally about an inch into the tube but that can be a PITA without a bore gauge.
  10. Sorry to hear that, cramping sucks. Another budget friendly old model bellwether jersey. http://www.ebay.com/itm/281403933254 Black and white with grey side panels and red trim is not as fugly as the last one I posted and it's also available in 2X http://www.ebay.com/itm/281403954371
  11. That had crossed my mind. There are a thousand videos on youtube but I like the series from Art's. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VrZBjOloChg
  12. Looking at the saddle position I can't help but wonder if you would be better with a zero offset seatpost.
  13. Here's a YouTube video of "the Sheldon Brown method". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oa8ztfXcHkg
  14. Good deal or trash? http://www.ebay.com/itm/281399688149 (Bellwether Fuel Jersey for $15 with no bids....)
  15. Prolly a good thing. With the scuffs on the fork, brake lever, frame and crank I'm thinking someone crashed it.
  16. Here's a pic from that auction: http://s1339.photobucket.com/user/Krebler/media/20140724_124957_zps281133d1.jpg.html
  17. Assuming the one with the hard case and extra stuffs. Looks like it could be a nice bike if it stays under $1600
  18. Plan B... Random gel type pepper spray http://www.amazon.com/SABRE-RED-Pepper-Gel-Professional/dp/B004NKSPR8 + cheapo light mounting bracket. http://www.amazon.com/hkbayi-Bicycle-Cycle-Flashlight-Holder/dp/B00IP8SJWA
  19. A couple of encounters with dogs over the weekend have me thinking of adding a new item to the saddle bag but I dunno... Overkill? http://www.amazon.com/Kimber-Pepperblaster-Grey-One-Size/dp/B004MG63X6/ Would also be a pain to retrieve when needed.
  20. Holy cow... Crushed it is a massive understatement.
  21. Wish it was that easy to fix the bathroom scale. I've been stuck at 196 lbs. for almost three weeks now.
  22. Marked a line on the cement and another line on the front tire with a piece of chalk, got on the bike, lined up the two lines and rolled forward one revolution and made another chalk mark on the cement. Measured the distance between the chalk marks and then plugged that into the cateye. (the size chart in the cateye manual was off by 12mm) Google maps said today's route was 32.4 miles, the cateye said 32.3 miles. Close enough.
  23. Meh, I guess you really don't need a DMM when the system voltages are reported on the UEFI BIOS "home" page. That kind of packaging would certainly explain the hard drive problem. Are the front USB ports working? I did a quick google search for "z87x-ud4h usb problems" and there seems to be an awful lot of forum threads out there......
  24. Are you sure it's not the PSU? Check the +5 volt wires on the molex connectors if you have a DMM handy....
