1. I take that back. There are a couple i've played now that I think about it. I've been meaning to PM you... (and other DC folks). I'll be in DC 8 days total in Jan split up over two trips, so we should catch up.
2. yeah, Rode Caprices is a bit above my ability. I'm looking for something between Kreutzer and Rode. Perhaps you know someone that might have a good recommendation? There's also Fiorillo, but I've never played any of those... Here's a link to the (easy) Dont: http://www.scorage.ru/view.aspx?id=17ADA42217F5431A9DD321D57CB66DB1
3. I'm working that out. Probably Dont op. 38 (the easy one) or Sevcik. The Auer looks really solid in fact, I might just do that. I'm getting more motivated to get back into it...
4. Messed around with Hrimaly. I really like it. Nice change of pace. Justin, have you ever gone through the graded Auer books? I'm considering those as well.
5. damn, I just bought a remote thermometer... I would have totally bought that.
6. You seem to imply that the WM8740 and WM8741 are very close sounding (if not, why even mention the chips?). That's strange to me, but there could be other factors here. To me, the latter is in a way different league.
7. 'Allo 'Allo. Why again is this so funny? Ooh it's the booze.

Grado again

Seems like a useful post to me Nate. Just ban them both
9. Does this help at all? In the first pic, the large cube is on the right and on the left is a medium and a "carryable cube". Second pic has a medium and a small cube.
10. How do zeners die? Over current? Would higher wattage parts serve to protect the mosfets?
11. I believe there are 4.7 pF caps available, which should be fine.
12. Looks doable, without soldering nonetheless. However, if your not confident in your electronics knowledge, the $200 could be well spent, given the price of the unit.
13. I can. The packing cubes seem to be customized in size for various bags (notice that you have to select "small for tri-star", "medium for tri-star", etc. when adding them to cart). If you check out the right hand side of the screen when you're in the packing cube section, you'll see the dimensions. Granted, that's of little use, but it took me a while to even find those measurements, as they can be easily overlooked.
14. Cool, what settings are you running? I'll give them a go.
15. What about 1.5 MB though?
16. It would be interesting to compare trimmer values I suppose of the various working channels. I was assuming that one channel wasn't working, but after rereading I see the confusion.
17. Any idea what Idss grade the JFETs are?
18. I've always doubted those specs... Perhaps see if Bulgin has anything close to those specs in their catalog?
19. I see. I hope it's not a commercial product (either way, it's possible the fuse didn't do it's job, depending on the nature of the problem you're fixing) Carry on! Understanding how transformers work is a worthwhile endeavor in my opinion..
20. Not in nearfield
21. Yeah, packing cubes (including one that can be "worn" as a small bag), strap, and other nonsense. Should be here on Thursday!
22. How did you come up with the fuse rating?
23. x2. Do it!
24. That's some gainclone. Perhaps the current on the primary in reality is a bit less?
