cannot seem to find my female 4-pin XLR to TRS adapter. I sent a last ditch effort PM to someone that might have it, as I was pissed that I forgot to order the parts to make another one yesterday. Anyone have a nice one on hand that they might like to send to a new home?
-
Yeah, I noticed that as well and tried to adjust the quantities. In my case, I actually was ordering two of everything, so it was confusing that it actually was correct The differences between Doug's list and Tom's list are subtile. MKP4 versus MKP10 caps, generic diodes, etc. so, it might be worthwhile to look at both lists. The only point of confusion I had was the power ratings for R4L, R4R, so I fully intend to check the schematic out when I'm building it and verify this one. Also, don't order the headphone jack and pot from Mouser if you ordered the 1/2 kit, almost made that mistake. Also, I didn't order any heat sinks.. it might be worthwhile to add that to Tom's BOM, as I didn't realize this until after I place the order... but I should have some on hand hopefully that will fit.... Anyways, parts are incoming!

different speed of light constant in Cinci?

Thanks Doug! What would be the most helpful for me to know would be the parts that are not available the vendor that has the majority of the parts (if that makes sense). That way I can work those into any upcoming part orders at Digikey, PE, etc.
-
Perhaps give Arrow a ring. They show it out of stock, but they've always been able to work with me on minimum order quantities (I notice that Digikey has a 6000 MOQ)

I'm a recording engineer as well. I did my first 1M mark about 15 years ago. Grado's sound like shit. Try a Stax 4070.
-
first I've heard about this is it for certain?
-
do they have the "double layer" on the reverse side, to accommodate both the mk1 and mk2? If you look at the installation guide, printed on the inside flap of the box you should see what I mean.

Buy more. I started buying them in the midst of the first big price hike. At least get one with the nicer idler wheel (the metal one with more than two holes).

Hm, that's debatable, right? Swapping to disk is much slower than degraded memory access time... -
tweaking caps / resistors in a zobel network ?
luvdunhill replied to Spiug31's topic in Do It Yourself
hm good question. I expect most people would say it isn't worth it. I would say that, until you came back and told me that you are driving speakers with these that have a significant amount invested in the crossover. Let's say approximately the same cost as the drivers themselves. That pretty much rules out most commercial speakers.... and after this, you tried to convince me that it makes sense to spend money in this zobel, because after all, it serves the same function as the zobels you integrated into each driver in the crossover (again, something that isn't always done to start with, zobels before the driver that is).... ... then I'd just ask why the heck are you using a beta22 to drive speakers of that implied caliber... -
Additional memory (Macintosh)

hm. I might be looking to upgrade my mini memory, and heard rumors that you can stick 6G in it? Anyone know the exact model people have successfully used? -
yeah, but then you have to pay sales tax. Not much of a discount. Just buy it online via Macmall (assuming you don't live in one of the two states that they must charge sales tax) and don't mess with the Edu discount.

so, after you get the credit from Radio Shack, what are the prices for the phones, assuming no incentives from AT&T? I cannot seem to find this info...
-
huh? still Intel Core 2 Duo... well, at least I'm not pissed that I bought mine when I did.
-
I have Gerbers somewhere. But are you really asking for a schematic, or looking for a set of TH boards?

So, Pete about those Jordan's.........you were saying, not like any other full ranger? -
which plug-in are you looking at? Here's a list: MiniDSP - Audio plug-ins More info on the associated datasheet, for example, here's the datasheet for the "2-way advanced" http://www.minidsp.com/images/documents/Product%20Brief-%202way%20Xover%20ADV%20plug-in.pdf If you want, you can always ask them. Just don't be an like this guy: http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/minidsp/158963-minidsp-kits-our-answers-your-technical-questions-17.html#post2186514

Dusty: I'm glad that they don't try to be a TI/Analog Devices/Xilinx and provide the support those companies do. Why do you think these companies charge so much for an eval board? Answer: support. If you want to use an IDE (which are pretty much locked into a given manufacturer anyways), then go ahead pick on the above and get ready for sticker shock (25x - 50x part cost is average). bhjazz: Pretty close to impossible. That comes from someone whose day job is reverse engineering.

Craig: Why not look locally for your wire? I've used this source in the past with good luck: WIRES.CO.UK Online Catalogue Nate: I haven't had that experience, but thanks for the heads up.
-
I think that will work for me Kevin, since I have the longer heat sinks. This are the standard diameters that Plitron will offer, hence the question.

This isn't the best place for this, but some of you might be interested in this: MiniDSP I'm planning on trying one out for a few things

so, 80 VA roughly each. How would 95-97mm diameter fit (all three this diameter)?

Cool Ari. Must have that Brew Dog photo in avatar size!!! Mine didn't come out nearly as well ...
