I didn't think they'd suck as much as they did... I cannot believe people this this is hi-fi. My favorite believe it or not was the Sony players. I'll be in China for a month or so around Christmas, so I'll be able to try some of the new Korean / Chinese players that will coming out over the next month or so. edit: if you'd like to see it, I could always delay your shipment for a week or so and send it along with the Millet for proper cable sizing

where are the seams pointing when you listen? The problem for me is that the position I listen in causes the cable to look all mangled over time... I'm sure this is the cause of the problem.

the cover isn't shipped with the replacement cable, so the MK1 cover was used.

yeah, look at the MK2 and MK1 pics and you'll see where the screws are on the MK2 that aren't on the MK1. I'm not sure about the ports, frankly I didn't notice them. I'd have to ask the owner about it, or perhaps Spritzer can comment if they'd be there (are the ports in the cable, or in the frame)?

yes, I've repaired a MK1 with a MK2 cable. It works fine, just no screws.

well, if there is a known fix for a known issue with current production parts, I wouldn't really say there are reliability concerns ...

the main issue is definitely the cable entry, assuming you listen with the cups rotated in an optimal position.
