  2. please use the subsonic filter. It's there for the safety of your system.
  3. yup, I have some of that on hand I think this is what AMB uses for his internal wiring, but I could be wrong.
  4. perhaps for the input, the Cardas shielded wire would be a good option. I'm thinking about trying those for myself. Also, all the rest of the devices have been matched and will be mailed this week. Thanks for your patience (except DigiPete).
  5. holy Doppler effect batman!
  6. I dunno if I'd call that an idler..the motor shaft is coupled to the "pulley"..

  11. yeah, go with the tape drive. I really like the way the silk is working for me (plus, the Nottingham won't work with tape), but I think in theory the tape is better. It would be interesting to see if you could do some sort of direct drive like that new VPI monstrosity...
  12. It's not the cryo that is the benefit here, it's the unplated contacts IMHO.
  13. check out the Porter Ports on Audiogon.
  14. reminds me of some crap I've seen on Lamm products as well.
  15. sorry, due to inflation in the last 2 years, the budget is now $2000.

  19. nah, VTA (okay, okay, SRA really.. but VTA for those "magnetic" personalities) and VTF are a purists EQ =)
  20. looks like your posts are just as worthless as they are at Head-Fi. What idiot doesn't know the difference between static electricity and magnetization?
  21. heh, he just used jagbag and KEFs in the same sentence ...
  22. move to Texas. that should help.
  23. I'd recommend something shielded for the input and something kinda beefy for the power. I haven't really thought this far ahead though
  24. yeah, especially when Posty made the mistake of not agreeing to an upfront price... I'll just take my time and offer him some more mods to placate him, that's the plan at least... maybe offer to make another Bugle to someone else and then sell Postys off to the new person... you know the drill.
  25. we have a large commercial fridge at work full of beer Gotta love tech companies!
