Canjam 2010.

Nice pix of CanJam and of Chicago, it looks like you've captured the essence of both the event and the city very well.
2. I'll listen to my HD580s tonight in Fritz's honor.
3. Have you heard either of these carts Audio-Technica AT33PTG Prestige MC Stereo Cartridge Yamamoto Sound YC-03S MC type cartridge I haven't heard them, but were recommended by the person that sold me the ZYX Yatra.
4. Not sure how many people use AES/EBU. I have quite a bit of 24bit music, but only one album is at 176.4. I think quite a few DACs have the 16/48 USB limitation, not a problem if you're listening to 16/44 lossless. Or you can just buy a USB to S/PDIF adapter to do 24/196. At this price point, certain tradeoffs have to be made. I'm interested in how it sounds. I do like the look of the black box
5. Analogue Productions - Nat "King" Cole - "Love is the Thing" and "The Very Thought of You" on 180 gram vinyl at 45rpm mastered at Acoustech by Steve Hoffman and Kevin Gray Nat "King" Coles voice is pure magic, it doesn't get much better than this
6. Happy Birthday Shelly, enjoy your day!
7. Here are my recent purchases for my new office
8. Are you sure that is what you want?
9. I tried to get to Salzers when they opened at 10:00am, but got there a few minutes late and missed out on the John Lennon Singles Bag I guess I'll have to try eBay. I did pickup The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Live at Clark University, Devo - Duty Now for the Future, Elvis Costello and the Attractions - Live at Hollywood High, Joan Baez - Joan Baez.
10. I'd have to agree with this Around SoCal, Amoeba or Salzers should be good fun. I think I'll go to Salzers because it's closer to me, and I think Amoeba will be a bit crowded.
11. I forgot to mention that it is this Saturday April 17th. I'm looking forward to buying the John Lennon "Singles Bag" 7 inch box set, individually numbered, w/3 7" singles, 3 postcards, 24 X 36 poster, and custom 45 adaptor hubMother, Why & Imagine, It's So Hard & Watching The Wheels & I'm Your Angel
12. Who's going to support their local record store on "Record Store Day"? http://www.recordstoreday.com/Home It looks like there will be a lot of new releases and exclusives sold on Record Store Day (RSD). And some stores will have quite a few special events. Amoeba in Hollywood is giving away 250 wristbands to see Smashing Pumpkins perform on RSD if you preorder their boxset. Slash will be signing his new album. Salzer's in Ventura will be having some bands play and Coheed & Cambria will be doing a signing. Looks like quite a bit of good fun.

14. Tyll, good luck with your future endeavors. The headphone community owes a debt of gratitude for starting this whole crazy headphone madness. I remember first seeing you selling the heaphone amplifier at the stereophile show at LAX many, many years ago.
15. I went to Grady's Record Refuge today and enjoyed picking out some vintage vinyl Crosby Stills & Nash - Crosby Stills & Nash CSNY - Deja Vu Supertramp - Paris Emerson Lake & Palmer - The Best of Emerson Lake & Palmer Emerson Lake & Palmer - Brain Salad Surgery Joni Mitchell - Court and Spark Loggins & Messina - The Best of Loggins & Messina I just finished cleaning some of them, now for an evening of vintage vinyl on a vintage turntable through a tube phono preamp and tube headphone amp, the way music is supposed to be listened to.

18. Raced my son's pinewood derby car the "Surf Rocket 9000" with his cubscout pack today and took first place in his den and tied for the fastest car at the meet. I also took first place in the Dad's race with my "Old School 47k" )
