Thanks for the recommendations, I've been looking for a NAS or Drobo solution for a while also. I tried to go cheap and buy a Dlink unit, which worked well for one XP computer, but not my other computer on Vista. And my work laptop couldn't connect, but I think that was due more to setup and restrictions on my work laptop. I'm not sure which way I would go either, but most likely a NAS route.

According to Craig if you have a balanced headphone, you can easily put a dummy plug into the SE plug and it puts the amp into unbalanced single ended mode. So you can easily compare balanced vs unbalanced, and he claims that it does definitely sound better balanced with both his AD2000 and RS1s.

And it does indeed have a transformer output.

I'm not sure what "true floating balanced" is, but Craig posted a whitepaper on his site. "To Balance or Unbalance - that is the question..." I believe he is refering to headphone output as setup for balanced (4pin XLR) and single ended. It looks like how the ZDT has both balanced and single ended headphone outputs.

This is the first production version of this amp. And yes, it is not on the Eddie Current site yet. I'm not sure when Craig was planning on announcing it. At first it was to come with a 6SN7 tube and a pair of 300B tubes. Then it changed to the 12SN7 / 300B combination. As of today, he offered to set it up with the 12SN7 / PX4 tubes and this may become the standard configuration.

Eddie Current Equilibrato - two unbalanced inputs - will drive headphones true floating balanced, or unbalanced - external power supply, same as the ZD and ZDT - solid state rectifier Tubes - (1) Tung Sol 12SN7, (2) Sophia Electric PX4 I'll get more details when I pick it up on Saturday

After touching base with Craig, I've decided to go with the Sophia Princess PX4 tube.

I know he has several different brands of 300Bs to listen to. He didn't have any specific recommmendation. Has anyone heard the PX-4 tubes? Craig said they sound better than most 300Bs, but tube options are limited to KR or Sophia.

I'll have to wait to get some nice tubes, spent too much on the family for xmas. Maybe I'll try to get some later, that's why I have to go cheap on the tubes for now. This is a one off production amp, that I hope Craig brings to market. I'll post pix and more information after I get the amp, hopefully this weekend. That's a great deal, I'll have to keep my eyes open on Agon.

I have tons of music, not all of it good, and lots of duplicates, but a lot of good music. I have to keep most of it in storage, not enough space at home. Most of it is CD, some SACD, some DVD-A and a growing collection of vinyl

I'm just glad that she has been caught by someone at Amex, and hopefully will be brought to justice. It certainly must be disheartening for everyone in the company that work so hard and here the VP of Finance is embezelling millions of the companys hard earned profits. Maybe they will need to raise the price of the KSC75s to $25 a pair.

Thanks Guys and Gals, just chillin' at home cleaning up and relaxing. A much needed rest after a Las Vegas Xmas vacation, lots of traffic, lots of people. We waited 3 1/2 hours waiting in line on Xmas for the Buffet at Bellagio the wait sucked, but the food was good. We did eat breakfast at Hash House a Go Go, huge portions of some pretty good eats. Time to spend quality time with the family, maybe play some video games with my son.

I'm running my Lavry DA11 via USB along with several external HDD to my laptop and it is works fine for me. My laptop is a Compaq NC6400 which is a few years old also.
