That's great! Did you end up sending it to a Seiko owned center, or one of the Seiko certifieds?
-
I would wear one of them. I'm not sure I'd buy one, though, if that makes sense.
-
I'm sure that's what would happen! My doctor, while an excellent doctor, is not an excellent communicator.

This is my “Big C” watch.

Wearing the Santos, today. I love this watch so much that I wonder why I have other watches. Of course, this is my sentiment whenever I put on most of the others... There is something about the Santos, though. I also doubt whether I should have gotten the large. I bet I'd be doubting getting the medium, if I had gone that way, too.

I found out today that I'm "probably cured" of cancer. That's not as good as "cured," but much better than "probably not cured." There is a possibility that I'll need a course of radiation in 6 months, but my doctor thought it unlikely. So, all in all, good news! When do I get my ribbon?

I would take a pic of my blacked out GShock, which I picked up today, but it's so monochrome that my phone won't focus on it. I really rather like it. When I really got into watches, ten years ago, I never thought I'd ever own a digital again, but I really like this and the cheapo Casio World Time I have. This GShock is an objectively terrible watch (it being blacked out makes it hard to read, and hard to use), but it certainly has a presence! I might get one of these, in a little while. I was never allowed to have a GShock (I was bought many other Casio watches, but never the GShock nor the calculator, for who knows what reasons) as a kid, so this is a bit of wish fulfillment for me. I'm also now into selvedge denim, so I guess that the logical third thing is to get into sneakers. I wear suits at work, so that's a fairly nice contrast, and the 90s fashion that is so in now works for me very, very well (other than suits: 90s suits were gross).

Well, my incision seems to be infected, but I'm finally starting to lose the steroid + IV weight. Opiates not helping with bone pain and then opiates not helping much with vasectomy pain is what diagnosed it. I was on opiates for months, with my leg. I'm not taking any more for my neck, now, and I have about a month's supply left. That is what I think creates addiction, here in the USA.

I had some rather bad pain this morning that Tylenol didn’t help much with. Unfortunately I’m opiate resistant, so they don’t help that much either, but a little bit (I just took half a Vicodin at 8, and Tylenol mid-afternoon).

Just pain and fatigue. I've taken a little bit of Hydrocodone, but I don't think I'll need to after today. I hate the stuff.

Apparently!

They used dermabond. That's good to hear, thank you KG.

Thanks guys!

"I was partially decapitated and all I got was this lousy t-shirt." I should have the pathology report in a couple days, which I'm interested in seeing.

I take it that you don’t know where the thyroid gland is located.

Happy birthday, Matt. I'll be making nog again, just for you (and me).

I had a long beard, but it was suggested that I shave before my Thursday surgery. This is what I came up with.

Just a little gallows humor on my part. I’m scared but not worried: I’ll be fine, and my stepson will be killed by memes when he’s 13. I now know to be ready!
-
I have cancer; maybe I won’t have to worry about it.

I’m glad my stepson is 5. The worst we get is misapplication of “orange you glad I didn’t say banana?”

Get what my mother just bought for herself: fluted bezel on oyster bracelet (she bought 36mm). She went with a black dial with roman numerals, which isn't to my taste, but the fluted bezel and the oyster bracelet looks great. I would otherwise have said fluted and jubilee (since the engine turned bezel isn't offered anymore), but the oyster really looks great on it.
