  1. I finally got the Sunny set up and adjusted, and I did an intro Peloton 30 minute course last night. Boy do I feel it today! I'm going to rest today and get back on tomorrow (I also get my Shimano shoes and pedals tomorrow, which I think will be great).
  2. "HOLY SHIT!" retracted. Oris Thelonious Monk, today. It really is an excellent watch, though I don't wear it that much.
  3. HOLY SHIT!
  4. Fortunately not; she looks high maintenance. A funny thing is how she chose that particular bike. I had told her that I wanted to get a spin bike. She called Amazon (on the phone!), asked to talk to an exercise expert, and that is the one that was suggested as being the best bang for buck.
  5. Well shit: my mother was kind enough to buy me one of these: Sunny Spin Bike
  6. Thanks guys! I have a bit of research to do before I buy something.
  7. Gustin raw denim skinny experiment #2 has me realizing that skinny jeans just aren't for me, though I can now sing soprano parts.
  8. Think it's worth double the price of the one I linked? I've had an Airdyne; it's not really quite the same workout...
  9. A bowl of smoke. That is frozen/pressed firm tofu for vegan paella.
  10. I dug some stuff out of boxes, tonight. Can you tell which company has an inferiority complex?
  11. So, I want to get a spin bike for home, after having done some spinning at gyms. Obviously I want the Peloton, but I just can't bring myself to spend the money, for some reason. Does anybody have one of the knock-off bikes? I'm strongly considering one of these. I don't think I'll mind a simple knob for resistance adjustment.
  12. Silver is very affectionate on her own terms, but Dunhill nee' Mittens is such an amazingly docile cat that I feel bad that that he doesn't belong to some big family. This is him settling down next to me after I danced with him to Stevie Wonder for about half an hour. He was purring the whole time.
  13. Montblanc wants $650 for an alligator strap for their (admittedly very nice and cheaper than it should be) Heritage Ultra Slim. Just for the strap! It is, by the way, made by guess who. As are JLC, AP, and Patek straps.
  14. I was expecting it to actually be around $500, but you'd be shocked with a replacement OEM gator strap can cost from a dealer.
  15. I doubt it's more than $800.
  16. I think it's going to look awesome, Sam!
  17. Straps wear out. They are like tires. Just wear the damned watch the way it was made.
  18. Third time is the charm?
  19. I am finalizing my 50% 401k transfer, today. I decided to wear an outfit that is much more expensive than the transfer. I'm also taking "Scout" (my new partner) to school. And then I get dinner with my mentor, tonight. I said "no" to Colie, the other day. She hated it. Scout was indifferent.
  20. Silver had to go to the vet, today, for an upper respiratory infcection. You would have thought she was being murdered. Now she is very sleepy.
  21. Season three of The Expanse. It's a huge upgrade over already good seasons. Amazon did something right! Now all they need to to do is fix Amazon Logistics so that I actually get my packages.
  22. It looks great!
  23. I'm glad I wasn't the only person to notice that. The "digital" pocket watches are also wonderful.
  24. That looks very nice, but I would still stick with the strap that came with it. I really like taper on straps for elegant watches, but I agree that it would be great on the GS. I received a mid-80s Leonard Paris 36x36" scarf that I found on eBay.
  25. I have two Rolexes, two Omegas, a Cartier, a JLC, an Oris, and two Apple Watches (and other things, like G Shocks). The last thing I need is more watches. I think I just need more clothes with red hues. I wear a lot of pink dress shirts, and I have a Bonobos military jacket in Burgundy, and some red jeans: a start!
