  2. lol wtf
  3. Beatles and iTunes have been chasing each other's tails for a while. I wouldnt hold my breath. Just get the CDs and be done with it.
  4. Oh man, maybe I should get a 3rd
  5. 6 months of Progressive auto insurance. You only get their quoted rates if you buy upfront; for me, its ~$300 more per year if I were to pay monthly.
  6. DEAD CAN DANCE - Into The Labyrinth (SACD) | Music | CD WOW! UK Bah. Links not working. Just search "Dead Can Dance" on CD Wow.
  7. There seems to be some weird phenomenon in jazz; the uglier the cover, the more awesome the music. I've got 2 more "ugly ducklings" to add: Remember these? This ugly duckling theory would also help explain the lack of interest in this aesthetic polar opposite:
  8. I could have sworn I had bought the pre-order of these, but I dont see it on my account at Acoustic Sounds, Elusive Disc or MusicDirect. Maybe I didnt after all. I did notice my SACDs of Analog Productions had been canceled
  9. Happy Birth Day
  10. oh. Macbook Pro will be fine
  11. In regards to Photoshop, depends on your definition of 'fine'. I've got 2 words for you: scratch disk. With a laptop, you'll be using the O.S. drive as the scratch disk. It works, just not as good as having a separate scratch disk. I currently am using my O.S. drive for the scratch disk, because I'm doing mostly web work, and rarely using 1GB photoshop files anymore. Of course, my O.S. drive is 2 raptors in raid 0
  12. I have said codec and its great, sq wise. I still use lossless, because I want archival quality, and hard drives are plenty affordable now. I'd like to have 128bit mp3 duplicates of everything, but the codec basically loses the tagging of lossless files or waves, and adds "!!" to all the titles. It ends up taking a lot of time. I also dont feel like converting 30,000+ files . I believe the codec was temporarily made available in 'vegas' I've recently switched from E.A.C. to dbPoweramp, because it offers all the same anal retentive security stuff, with a little more ease of use, at least when going to ALAC on a PC. It does not appear to be able to do disc images though, so I still use E.A.C. for those.
  13. I hope so. I'd really like one, but have so many other things on my to-buy list at the moment, some that really cant wait.
  14. Do you guys think this will be a limited run kind of thing, or something that will still be available new in, say, one year's time?
  15. Oh god, you have no idea how badly I want that to happen. It would be the end of compatibility issues for me. I wouldn't have to worry about what player to use with what library/hard drive anymore. But they cant put DRM into flac, so they probably wont do it
  16. I can tell you right now, for either game, if monthly fees are required, then I'll pass. I think monthly fees for games is worse than DRM for music.
  17. yet another OJC acquisitions post: Joe Henderson Canyon Lady The Kicker Relaxin' at Camarillo Tetragon Multiple Joe Henderson in Japan The Elements Duke Ellington & His Orchestra Latin American Suite Booker Ervin Space Book Freedom Book The Blues Book Exultation! 18. 90 years of cheaper, more plentiful oil.
  19. yet another game I never played the original of. I think SCII looks a bit better, as far as character design. Diablo probably has a more involved story though, i dunno. Theres a crap load of SCII youtube clips. Looks fun.
  20. Oil in the ground = money. People like money. People will figure out a way. They always do.
  21. But as demand goes up, oil previously considered un-drillable becomes worth drilling.
  22. link Not offshore, but hey; oil is oil.
