  1. At the TdC Champions dinner. Just a bunch of old people and crappy beer.
  2. I cramped a whole lot before whenever climbing was 500 or more feet elevation gain really. I could limit that a bit by downing a lot of Vitamin D before a ride. I was told I am low on Vitamin D naturally and that leads to cramping. The Sportslegs really seemed to keep the acid build up from affecting me and I felt great at the end of the ride, which is not all that normal for me. I got my Osmo stuff at the shop. It is this stuff http://www.probikesupply.com/osmo-nutrition-preload-hydration-servings-20-eight-ounce-servings/?gclid=CKuF34LHy7gCFUOd4Aod4CcA_Q#
  3. That blue laser shot is great. It would be even greater if the dude in shorts was a gogo dancer.

    Trying it now.
  5. Raffy, I have been trying a combination of Sportslegs and Osmo pre-ride Hydration to eliminate cramps. I found the first time I did this my legs never even burned on the climbs for the ride Chris and I did last weekend. No cramping at all.
  6. Do they feel like they will hold up over time? I do not know that I need two pairs of riding sunglasses but these are so low priced maybe they can just live in the car in case I forget the Oakleys.
  7. That looks delicious. I need to get some ingredients for that soon.
  8. I use some sort of Cytosport Whey Protein in Vanilla Bean. Makes for a frothier smoothie but the flavor is pretty good. Evidently it has some magic ingredient to make it blend better in a smoothie according to the label on the giant bag.
  9. I would think a nice Vanilla flavored protein powder would go a long way in helping your husband better enjoy your dirt flavored drinks Shelly. The stuff I use has a strong flavor that covers up the Kale flavor pretty well.
  10. I can see one of my old houses in your pic Dinny. Image quality looks great, very dynamic.
  11. I want some Ari glasses. Just finished my first shop group ride. Kicked my ass a bit. It was only 13.5 miles but I had to push to keep up with the group and had over 600 feet of elevation gain in those 13.5 miles. Of course the whole group got split pretty quickly as the leaders went through a light and left those in the back half on our own. Rode with the leaders of that group for the rest of the ride but they were not the serious guys, no way I could keep up with them.
  12. Where are the videos?
  13. Time for a mid year update.
  14. I enjoyed the 100th. While I don't necessarily like the Sky Team I do like Chris Froome and was amazed by his and everyone's talents. It is amazing what these guys can do. The light show for the award ceremony was actually entertaining.
  15. Raffy, I have found the Red Iridium Polarized to work well in both bright and cloudy rides. I bought some Persimmon lenses yesterday for the really cloudy / nighttime rides and mountain biking but I have not been able to try that lens out yet. Chris, for me to be able to drop you I will probably need both of your tires to flat at the same time.
  16. I have had a breakthrough. The best way to cover up the dirt flavor of the Kale is to use little to no Kale. Real cutting edge stuff here. Apple Strawberries Bunch of Ice Almond Milk Small Handful of Kale Chia / Flax mix Pretty damn good.
  17. Very impressive Nate. 50 miles on the bike non-stop seems pretty tough. Glad to see Xavier has less crashes per mile than his dad typically sees. Went on another awesome ride with Chris this morning. This one was his hill climb down by Mt. Vernon. Started out a bit rough when I hit the longest, steepest climb of the ride and found it pretty damn difficult. Got to the top and realized I had once again left the bike in the big ring in the upper middle of the cassette. After that it was a nice route with some decent climbs but nothing serious. Amounted to about 670' of climbing over the 20 mile ride. Not much for the real riders but dramatically better than I could do this time last year.
  18. No way! If I am going to the trouble to drink Chia Pet seeds I am not putting unhealthy booze in there.
  19. Oh yeah. I will pick up Alex, if he is able to come, and head to your house. I think 7:30 would be more manageable than 7:00 if I have to stop to pick him up.
  20. I do not know. Would it be easier to park at your house or meet you along the route? I am not sure what the route is.
  21. Okay. You mind if Alex from Fresh Bikes comes along?
  22. Is that the neighborhood down by Mt. Vernon that you have to climb up a cliff?
  23. I can do either, you want some hill climbing?
  24. If you have a 90 minute route then we should do that. I only know my trail, Mt. Vernon and Rock Creek Park.
  25. Yeah, I am up for a ride. Where? I put on the Garmin heart rate thing for the first time today. I am definitely in the Nate category with an average HR of 186. Pretty damn high.
