Unholy carp, http://www.onsale.com/deals/sylvania-synet-netbook?utm_source=Email&utm_medium=Email&utm_campaign=Daily+Deal+Email&sourceid=BWBTAC024490'>$39 netbook. It's almost worth it just to find out how crappy it is.
Are you sure it's FM vs. satellite? Might be Honda vs. ...er...whatever it is you got in its stead. Which I don't remember. I know my Suzuki had an outstanding sound system...
Big Big Train, English Electric (part one) -- it's like in an alternate universe, Peter Gabriel era Genesis died, and then got reincarnated in this one.
(Too convoluted?)
I thoroughly enjoy my Nixons. The Time Teller is practically weightless, the 51-30 is the opposite -- it has presence -- and is practically bulletproof -- I accidentally smashed it against a door jamb once, and the door jamb lost. And the Mellor is a nice plain simple middle-of-the-road watch. But the door jamb wouldn't've lost that one.
I have to admit, though, I don't actually own a Falcon.
Trans-Siberian Orchestra -- think of it as innoculation against Christmas carols, which are just a little too ear-wormy for me. Also queued up: Scrooge 1970 soundtrack.

Yeah, my friend (the big Porcupine Tree fanatic) always gets the super versions -- you have to be a big Lasse Hoile fan -- which he is, he loves art -- to justify it. I'm with you -- I just want the music, in the best possible sound, with as many extras as I can justify.
Last year? Seriously retro -- it (and other Astra releases) kept coming up on my personalized Amazon gold box deals, I thought it was a reissue or something. I'll get it next time it comes up.
Meh, fuck you both.
Although, I have to admit, mine seems to be a step up from the usual 'paltry' to 'adequate', and that's with Spotify streaming continuously:
https://soundcloud.com/olsentwinpeaks'>Olsen Twin Peaks -- they started following me on SoundCloud, I was intrigued by their hilarious name, their own description: They sure do make a lot of noise for two people.
About the only Christmas music I can tolerate is old school jazz, old school soul, Tchaikovsky, Puppini Sisters, and Reindeer Room. That last of which is what I've been listening to, on and off today.
Also, King Crimson, Larks' Tongues in Aspic
