And now what did you do TODAY?
Get rid of Windows, or get rid of the Emu? Yeah, I know, I'm not helping. Me: broke two bottles of wine, cleaned them up. No, not any of the syrahs, and fortunately, not any of the more expensive malbecs, I don't think. Still pisses me off. Good thing we don't care about that floor (it's asbestos -- it needed to have been replaced decades ago anyway). One was broken in the process of cleaning up the other, because I had bottles everywhere, and was trying not to step on them or in the puddle from the first one. @self. I need a wine rack. Anyone have any suggestions on the cheapest value winerack? I'm thinking the assemble-it-yourself one they sell at Total Wine, like this one:

Me: Where are you getting all of these? Are you going for best price, or are you just happy to have them at all?

You know, sometimes "whorey" is just what the doctor ordered.

More Norton Bodega malbeca non-reserva -- you know, now that I know what to expect, I'm liking it more.

When I went in the Apple store, they had a faster processor option in the smallest MBP than in either of the other two sizes. When does the Air come out? I think I'd be happy with the smallest MBP, but if you can't wait the 6 months, then I'd make a decision based on current knowledge. (I'd of course recommend you check out macrumours.)

No, I thought it was just me. Very pagan-looking. I approve.

No doubt...still had to try it to know for sure -- the difference in price was only a couple dolla. Sometimes "not as good" is still "acceptable". And this certainly is drinkable -- I'll finish the bottle. It's fruitier, so someone who likes fruitier may prefer it. It...just...me personally I won't get any more. On deck: the Privada.

Anyone ever re terminate a Cardas Sennheiser cable?

A real corkscrew (rabbit-ears style from Screwpull). Got tired of fighting with the bottles.

If it was elastic at all, is there a way you can just braid from one end to the other? Oh, and yes: very cool.

Biwiring, Biamping
Corrosion affects wire most at the connection -- I bet if you cleaned and put the jumpers back (that is, if they weren't broken), you would hear a difference. Sometimes you should do that -- just disconnect, clean, and reconnect. And that goes with RCA cables, too.

Tried the Bodega Norton non-reserva last night -- meh, not as good.

Had the Norton Reserva malbec last night -- outstanding. Thanks for the rec, Shelly. I even had a second glass. Any opinions on the Privada or the regular variants?

Biwiring, Biamping
Or, because they know that if DSP is done right, it can be a solution, but then make the incorrect leap that if it is done in DSP, then it's done right, which, at least with commercially available solutions, isn't always (or even usually) the case. That said, I don't think it's fair to rule out DSP based on a few bad solutions, if good ones exist. I was just reading an article on all-band-pass filters that were designed to do exactly that -- correct phase.

Why does it have to be for retail sale? I just told you that they'd do it, you just have to go into the retail store and ask for it. Here, go to your closest store and ask. Wait a minute, retail store...retail sale...that actually qualifies! It's obviously not something that everyone needs, so there's no need to advertise it. It doesn't behoove them to do so, there's no return on advertising small quantity stuff. But they will put together any combination you want. They'll even reterminate your dual Sennheiser 3-pin XLR's to RCA's if you want (which is why I know -- I was going to use a preamp as a headphone amp).
