Went to my sister's "opening" -- she has opened an artisan showcase, as well as an alpaca yarn farm thingy. Pretty cool stuff. Got to hang out with family all day in the open air on a beautiful day (it was clear and in the 60's today). Allergies are killing me now, but I enjoyed it for a time.

Was listening to a lot of Victory at Sea and Project Pitchfork today.

I don't know about UPS or checking it out ovar the intarwebs, but Brickwall does a decent job, AFAIK. (I've asked the question many times, of which commercial product would be adequate, and I don't think I evar got a straight answer.) Boycott Monster.

They do make some very nice monitors, though. Do any of them make nice TV's? Oh, and: you guys watch a lot of TV. I've had Spellbound for over a week, and can't seem to find the time to finish it.

A-ha! I think I've sussed it. I'm listening to Void of Silence, Grave of Civilization, and I've said before it reminded me of something, but what I hadn't figured out is that it's only partly reminded me of something -- Skinny Puppy. The vocalist reminds me of Ogre. (sigh of relief) And maybe a little bit of the abstract song structure.

So Daddy's Little Princess goes off to college. A couple weeks into the semester, she writes for money to buy a bicycle to get around campus. He sends her the money, but by the time she gets it, she's already in shape, and no longer needs the bicycle...and has since fallen for a monkey at the local pet store, so she buys that instead. A couple weeks later, the monkey falls ill, becomes lethargic, and starts molting. Not knowing what to do, she panics and writes her dad, "The hair is falling off my monkey!"
