  1. I think having heat sinks on your heat sinks is best, a la the cyborg former-life-as-a-dog things in Snowcrash.
  2. Ah, that was the part I was missing.
  3. Florence + the Machine -- dig! Pain of Salvation -- I love this more every time I listen to it. They have that certain oblivion that sells affectations that would otherwise be interpreted as pretentiousness -- sends me all the way back to the 70's. Faces kind of stuff (especially the guitar tones); there's definitely a track inspired by Zappa; really great organic production -- just delish.
  4. ^ Am I missing something? Why is this a good deal?
  5. Yeah, I should chew more as well. But I don't like masticating in public. Nuts and seeds -- unchewed -- can get hung up in less than iron constitutions, swell, and cause blockages (ask Tyll, amongst others). So ignore pedant-head for today, he seems to be on the warpath.
  6. Why didn't you just say 'greens'?
  7. This fucking rocks. RIYL lighter Porcupine Tree, recent Katatonia.
  8. That's an insult to cats.
  9. Anathema, We're Here Because We're Here
  10. And you don't post much. So let me get this straight: you really do enjoy the beautiful beautiful music?
  11. Yeah, that site gave me nightmares, too.
  12. Orange chicken from Ricky's Ricebowl
  13. I use nauseating/nauseated to eliminate confusion.
  14. Okay, now I'm not sleeping.
  15. And we lose another one.
  16. Yeah, sorry, can't help you -- ran into the same problem myself, the only reason I have a copy is because they were selling it at their show when I saw them open for Black Heart Procession and Calexico. Yeah, that was a night. I didn't even know they were playing. I practically exploded when I found out (I always see Calexico whenever they play, and BHP were just icing on the cake). My friend thought I was having a seizure. After their act, we went to the merch table, and my friend bought all their CD's, and I bought the one or two that I was missing (need to find my copy of Buxom as well). I was gushing about how all their albums are great, and I just get into these moods where all I want to do is listen to everything of theirs either chronologically, or random, or something else, when all of a sudden I realized I was saying all of this within earshot of the singer (whom I now know as Sara Lov), and got all embarrassed and, "...I hope I didn't say anything" (as in, wrong), and both she and my friend said, "oh no, not at all" practically verbatim in unison. I kind of lump Hindle Wakes with Rachel's in that neo-classical genre. Oh, and: not always, just sometimes, I rock. Glad you liked.
  17. Ditto. Thinking about it, but I'm a little swamped in beers right now, should probably drink some of what I have.
  18. Now on to: Prognosis 8 (from Classic Rock Presents Prog magazine)
  19. It played through. (cheers) Now: Perfume Tree, Fathom the Sky
  20. This has no meaning.
  21. Thanks, now that ghost riff is going to be stuck in my head.
  22. [gilligan]Yeah, that and 'good luck'![/gilligan] (canned laughter)
  23. No, I think it's Apple's doing in response to AT&T's request.
  24. Pho with brisket.
