  1. Started to disassemble everything. It's taking a bit too long, so need to trim it down, but at least I got it rollin'. I've only gotten as far as 0f. 05 the previous iteration. I hate code that doesn't work as one would expect it to -- disassemble_info.insn_type in libopcodes is just such code.
  2. Sweet. Looks great, can't wait to see what it sounds like.
  3. No need to apologize, you're entitled to your opinions. Just as I make no apologies not only for being gay for everything Trent related, but gay for the whole genre, pretty much. I have to agree with you, though -- I found With Teeth and Year Zero were his weakest efforts. I don't find myself listening to them near as much as the older stuff, and I can't even remember anything other than "Every Day is Exactly the Same" and "With-a Teeth-a", the latter of which sounds like he's mocking something, rather than trying to pull off something serious. That said, I totally dig Nine-Inch-Nails type music with a female singer. And I did kind of hear some Downward Spiral-type stuff. This.
  4. Another ortho/statter here.
  5. Nate rules. (double-meaning intended)
  6. Yeezh. Yeezh. (Yes, saw your later posts, I still say, 'yeezh' that it even got that far.) Yeezh.
  7. Okay, now you're just fucking with us.
  8. Okay, since I responded with Shelly and Steve, I guess it's only fair that I do Fitz, too: I had no idea. Really. None. Not a clue.
  9. Was there vomit? I didn't hear any vomit stories, just "cute drunk" and "passed out" stories. And +1 moar shot stories.
  10. I don't think that makes things sound bright and thin -- does that add euphony?

    Canjam 2010.

Except the squirrel itself was bloodier.
  12. Okay, then I must be like the opposite of gay, then. Whatever that means.
  13. Grawk is probably the straightest guy on here, after Jacob. And Ian. And Jin. And Colin. Alright, maybe not the straightest guy on here, that's kind of a weird superlative to have used...oh, never mind, I'll stop digging myself in... And a great big Foz E. Bear falsetto "rah" and NTTAWWT to Fitz!
  14. ...as well as listening at different levels -- the amp/headphone interaction is going to be different for each amp/headphone pair, and depending on the level at which you listen, things can sound different. I suspect that's why I don't find the bass so overwhelming on, for example, the DT770's -- I don't listen to them that loud.
  15. You could get another pair of glasses whose frame is easily bent, and bend it so that it loops over the pads, rather than under them and over your ears.
  16. Pain of Salvation, Road Salt One -- goddamn, I love the direction these guys have gone lately: gritty, very 70's organic guitar tones and arrangements, but with a contemporary fidelity. A little less progressive, but who cares? There's plenty of that to go around -- they still experiment a little ("No Way", "Sleeping under the Stars"), so all's good.
  17. (interest just goes up a notch) -- and without the quality control issues? That might be worth the sale price.
  18. I prefer valour (Beyer) and cloth (AKG K501) myself, you're not alone.
  19. Maybe that's my problem -- I just need practice.
  20. How to Destroy Angels -- sounds like Nine Inch Nails with a female lead singer

(knock at door) Jacob's roommate: There's someone at the door...it might be 'opportunity'. Jacob: Can you get it?

    Writing?
  23. Yup, you got me pegged. (ahem)
  24. This looks interesting -- three part imperial stout, one part...honey beer? Sorry I missed the chance at the great unveiling last Saturday, would have wanted to go if I'd known about it. I'll definitely try and track down a way to try it in August (probably by going up to the alehouse in Gaithersburg -- hopefully they'll have some on tap then).
  25. Really, 'ideas'? You think what they're short on is 'ideas'?
