  1. I’m not a fan of the obvious autotuned vocals, but the underlying song itself is cool and this video is amazing. I would have thought it was digitally manipulated all to kingdom come—and it is—but the underlying performance is smooth as something really smooth. Respect.
  2. As much as I loved Strong Girl Bong-soon, I am surprised it made it to the list. I can’t think of a single person I would recommend it to. I’ve heard good things about honorable mention Dark, but I’ve been waiting until I can pay attention, as I heard it requires concentration.
  3. Link please? I used to subscribe to that subreddit, but then I realized it was all just porn and hardly any discussion, and I can get my porn here, so I unsubbed, and now I forget what it was called. I ask because I'm now wondering if the subs are part of the same system.
  4. Did anyone take you up on the Korg? I'd be interested if your offer didn't make you revisit it and renew your interest in it.
  5. And either a supertweeter or a room correction microphone on top. Although a room correction microphone should probably be in the listening position, so it’s probably a supertweeter.
  6. I’ve been enjoying the Arthur Wallace series by Jonathan Wood. It’s kind of a weird cross section of comedy, action, horror and fantasy. Aliens, magic, a petite sword-wielding cursing female Scot, a grumpy Pakistani goth, an otherworldly librarian made out of books whose personality is comprised of characters from those books, many references to “What Would Kurt Russell Do?”...and that’s just the first book. It has that shift in tone on a dime from comedy to horror and back again that I love so much, plus typical British observations.
  7. Anna and the Apocalypse -- oh my resurrected Christ, BEST. MOVIE. EVER. It's a zombie Christmas musical. RIYL "Once More With Feeling", the random musical numbers in Sense8, (500 Days of) Autumn, etc.
  8. I’m sensing a theme here...no, that’s a lie. I have no idea, just...
  9. Indeed, that’s how I took it. I was really worried, too, that it’d be too hot for most, and that it just got thrown out.
  10. Unbeknownst to me, this fucking disappeared at the party. Some of it was actually stolen. I guess I’ll be making more.
  11. Finished season 4 of Expanse
  12. And vodka for the Russkies and perhaps borscht.
  13. Sounds yummy!
  14. “...former Talking Heads frontman David Byrne posits...” ”...talking head David Byrne posits...”
  15. Oh, unholy carp, they have the entirety of Max Richter's Sleep in Master on Tidal. Good night, my friends, see you in the morning.
  16. Those don’t look real. It’s like someone bought 3/4 scale or 1/2 scale everything else, and regular size speakers.
  17. "Kvorthus! C'mon! We're leaving without you!"
  18. Really digging the Sweet-ness of Honeymoon Disease (and maybe a little bit of Blue Oyster Cult, less the mystical shit). Check out "Calling You": ...or the singles, "Electric Eel" (last track), "Doin It Again" (first track), or "Four Stroke Woman" (right after "Calling You")
  19. “The poop knife just isn’t going to cut it.” https://www.thevintagenews.com/2019/10/02/lloyds-bank-coprolite/
  20. Lollers No seriously, I definitely will give it a listen if you think that highly of the music.
  21. Gary Numan with the Skaparis Orchestra, When the Sky Came Down: Live at the Bridgewater Hall, Manchester in Master quality on Tidal
  22. Funny time to double post. It’s been “processed”.
  23. Call Dave. I told him about your question, but I already forgot the answer.
  24. I like weird music. Don't like associating drugs with music, but I did grow up in the 70's, so it's hard not to laugh at the joke. "You know what would pair well with drugs? More drugs." I lollered. And then I watched the video, and lollered all over again. It's just an envelope or a slow LFO into the pitch of a synthesizer, though, it's difficult to make that sound musical, but it's doable.
