  1. Actually, the original link says it’s called the BH 770. Where did you see DT330/DT660? Oh, good, please do report back. I am very curious, myself.
  2. Yeah, I'm no lawyer, so I'm literally doing that thing that we all hate: hypothesizing. Oh, also, persecuting, convicting, and judging.
  3. They're marketing it as a clone -- clone==reverse engineered. But your point is taken as well. I would phrase it thusly: after they reverse engineered it, they forward engineered it from there -- presumably to give them some cost-cutting options, but also maybe so that they could protect it as a different design.
  4. If they used a different size driver, then it’s technically a different design.
  5. Best wishes also!
  6. It was a year ago, but I only just learned of it: James Calvin Wilsey, the king of slow, and sometime Chris Isaak’s guitarist. I want to be him when I grow up.
  7. https://www.electric-kingdom.net/post/behringer-releases-clone-of-beyerdynamic-dt-770-studio-reference-headphones See, this is why I hate Behringer, they reverse engineer technology, and then undercut the original. I’m alright with it when the technology is long since out of the market, as is the case with many of their synthesizers, but this is ubiquitous! Grr...
  8. Did he ever really do better than this? IMHO, this is -- far and away -- his masterpiece. I know people worship Richard D. James Album and Druqks, but nothing he did on those was as mind-blowing as this was to my 31-year-old brain (actually, probably 32 by the time I heard it, I was not exactly "in the know").
  9. https://universe217.bandcamp.com/album/change Really digging this. Like a proggier, slighltly more psychedelic Led Zeppelin.
  10. Happy new year, friends! (party favour noise)
  11. I love all of those (except Actors, not familiar, will have to check them out). The live album you are thinking of is Welcome Back My Friends to the Show That Never Ends, Ladies and Gentlemen, Emerson, Lake & Palmer. such a great album.
  12. Okay, that was pretty terrible. Switched to this, and then moving on:
  13. Neil Innes
  14. Finally finished Strong Girl Bong-soon. Pacing deteriorates significantly, the farther along one goes. Egad. Painful. Lost in Space season 2 — enjoying Zoo — giving this a second chance, on the urging of my sister. I’m really curious how they treat the good guy misanthrope character, Mitch. A couple good lines so far, “I’m an acquired taste”, “I like people, I just prefer when they’re not around.” Blade of the Immortal—yeah, they’re being extremely faithful. It’s pretty brutal, though. But ... ambitious. In its “cinematography”, sound design, atmosphere, art direction, as well as everything else. If you like anime and Kurosawa, you should probably give it a chance. But this is more adult than Card Captor Sakura, this is probably more in the vein of Korean R-rated films like I Saw the Devil and Mother.
  15. Yeah, that’s what I heard. Are you sure they practiced? Or did they master the fine art of appearing to practice, as many children do? ?
  16. The way it was explained to me was that he felt it was ordained... ... and what I meant was I didn’t know if it was genius or madness...
  17. I’m not sure what this is:
  18. Ended up throwing it out. Smelled nasty. A friend of mine figured out what probably happened -- the vinegar "predigested" the food for me. ? (insert Jeff Goldblum "The Fly" animated gif here) Went back to easy, still got it wrong, although it was edible this time. Made Thai red curry beef...but I don't think Thai red curry uses coconut milk, and I did, so I ended up making something more panang-y than red curry. It was still delicious.
  19. I think that was the last of the Carnival of Love/Enchanted Path echelon. All I’ve got left is that one Velvet Glove and a couple in the Blue Eyed Boy/Gigglepot echelon. It’s up to my sisters, I will put you in touch with them, they get everything.
  20. So, most of it turned into liquid upon cooking. I can smell some serious vinegar, and there’s barely a cup of cooked meat in all that liquid. I have no idea what to do with it. I think the vinegar attacked the fat, which is probably healthy, so I may try to separate the meat from the liquid, but that might invoke the wrath of the hive mind, so if you don’t hear from me again, assume that’s what happened. I’m going to go out and get some takeout. If it’s my last meal, I want it to be a good one.
  21. I have no idea. I tried marinating beef in coconut vinegar, and the two mutated into some as yet unknown third gelatinous substance. I will cook it to see what it tastes like, but I’m not really into sour meats, so it will probably get thrown out or become a special effect in a low budget horror movie.
