No, I’m saying the opposite, it’s the least weak link in the chain. You can get away with a bog standard HDMI cable (and transport!) and still get great picture quality.

I listened to a lot of crap in the 90s. (Barbie Girl is probably my biggest sin, although there are many others.) That said, I was pleased to see Vangelis there for 11 freakin’ weeks. My hero.

If you’re using HDMI or any other digital cable, you don’t even care about picture quality. My friend who used to be in the biz uses a PlayStation as a transport. Or an Xbox.

Go back through the thread. There's actually been some recent discussion of exactly that, like within the last couple of pages. I would also add -- how old are your eyes? My eyes have been deteriorating something awful lately. Just a few years ago, I was craving as many pixels as I could afford, but now I'm perfectly happy with 1080. I can't really see the difference.
