I met the QA manager for apple storage a few years back. They had just switched to sata drives at the time because they couldn't find any reliable IDE drives. I think now SATA has caught up in terms of reliability with IDE. I buy my drives based on the warranty. I didn't get bitten by the seagate firmware bug, and have a few of their 500gb and a few 1tb drives.

the seagates have 5 year warranties, you should check the serial number at their website

Boulder has artificially inflated housing prices because they won't allow new development. It's also overwhelmed with smug. Anchorage is one of the last places on earth I'd recommend anyone live. It's like seattle but the winters are colder and the people are dirtier. You might want to visit fayetteville, ar before you decide you want to live there. It's basically just wal-mart.

Depends on what you want in an area. I like where I am for the mix of rural + near cities I like clark county virginia for the same reason. I like the NC mountains for being the NC mountains. I like Maine, New Hampshire, Wyoming, New Mexico, South Dakota and Montana for being what they are. Chicago is my favorite big city. New Orleans has my favorite food. Austin's got a good combination of culture and food. Overland Park, KS is very wholesome
