  2. Yep, AirBoss and and gator gets me a week easy but I never need a suit. I love academia.
  3. That's great Ken. Hope my next post on this topic is a congrat.
  4. Happy Birthday Sir Amos.
  5. The Satan's Whiskers enroulee is my favorite of the three. The Mandarine Napoleon was excellent straight and I preferred it to the creole shrubb. The Old Pal looked good so gave one a try next with the Rittenhouse. I can give the margarita a try when I pick up some limes Marc.
  6. Satan's Whiskers (enroulée) 1 1/2 ounces gin (Junipero) 1/2 ounce dry vermouth (Dolin) 1/2 ounce sweet vermouth (Cocchi Vermouth di Torino) 1/2 ounce Mandarine Napoléon 1/4 ounce fresh orange juice 2 dashes Angostura bitters (Bitter Truth Jerry Thomas' Decanter Bitters) Place all ingredients in a mixing glass. Add ice, shake and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Add an orange peel as garnish. Double cheers Al
  7. Thanks for the birthday wishes. A nice relaxing day, then a multi-birthday party at some friends and now a few cocktails to toast being officially old, at least according to AARP.
  8. Nice symmetry!
  9. Beer and Stax, just needs whisk(e)y for completion.
  10. Sounds like a great anniversary for you two John. Madison is a great town, have a great time.
  11. Well this is a little later than usual (the race is in two weeks from Sunday) as Karen was not even going to run the Chicago marathon due to a foot injury in the late spring. However, the rehabilitation went really well and she has been able to get her distance back up remarkably quickly. She will be running again in support of St. Jude's Children's hospital which is a special charity for us. If you would like to donate you can do so at https://waystohelp.s...ksi0Rw.facebook . Thanks and please do not feel any pressure to donate as well wishes are just as appreciated. Edit: She will not be running as Wonder Woman but only as her alter ego this year.
  12. Gran Classico Negroni Best Negroni Evar!
  13. Already have a full size machete. This is for the closer quarters chopping.
  14. A nice little shipment from the left coast was awaiting my arrival back home as well as something for the upcoming zombie apocalypse.
  15. Cool beans Chris. That sounds both interesting and useful. Sitting at Reagan International realizing that the free wifi is overpriced. Update: Actually the airport is a microcosm of the Federal government, one big clusterfuck.
  16. Hot tea with lemon, honey and the whisk(e)y of your choice. Hope you feel better.
  17. My problems with the 007 is mainly in comparison to the Omega and has to do with a more compressed soundstage and a tad bit of slowness that mushes up the clarity when the music gets complex. I do not listen at Ray Smuel levels either.
  18. Well somebody has to say it so I will. Even as a comparative statement I find this statement strange. Though I do have some problems with the 007 MK I, those particular attributes would never enter the description.
  19. Happy Birthday Slacker Dude!
  20. ^^^ What he said.
  21. Earlier, Ethiopian beer to go with our Ethiopian food.
  22. Nice haul Shelly. Drink it?
  23. We are sitting at the airport in Indy waiting to board our plane to DC.
  24. Well congrat to Paris Claire and congrat to you that the damage was not worse and the Cicadas are safe. That really is pretty amazing that everything perched there until you discovered it. Are you sure you don't have poltergeist?
