  1. That is a nice Bloody Mary Shelly. And you're not alone, I do not have any Gran Classico Bitters yet.
  2. How was the 18th Century with the rye gin Al? Color me intrigued. Been missing my gin so went with the Satan's Whiskers (marcelled) 1 1/2 ounces gin 3/4 ounce sweet vermouth 1 1/4 ounces fresh orange juice 1 teaspoon falernum syrup 2 dashes Fee Brothers Old-Fashioned bitters Place all ingredients in a mixing glass. Add ice, shake and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Wow, the family resemblance is extremely small.
  3. Nice Old Style Rhum Fashioned! Decided I needed some gin so went with the Satan's Whiskers (revised) 1 1/2 ounces gin 1/2 ounce dry vermouth 1/2 ounce sweet vermouth 1/4 ounce Grand Marnier 1/2 ounce fresh orange juice 1 dash orange bitters Place all ingredients in a mixing glass. Add ice, shake and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

  7. That looks good Marc and I bet it tastes dandy with the Handy! ADMIRAL SCHLEY PUNCH 3/4 oz Smith and Cross Rum 3/4 oz Bulleit Bourbon 1 1/2 bar spoons simple syrup 1 oz lime juice Shake with lumps of cracked ice and pour into a coupe. Garnish with a lime twist.
  8. Trying to get back to the Savoy?
  9. ^^^ What he said!
  10. Nice haul Al. I like the idea of the 200 ml bottles for trying out new stuff. Also thanks for the reminder that I need to purchase a backup bottle of Cocchi.
  11. Decided to give Marc's Not Theory a try with a substitution and reduction of Campari to 1/2 oz as per Shelly's suggestion and a concomitant bump of tequila to 1 oz. Excellent cocktail Marc. I tip my hat to you sir.
  12. This one looked better Have a great birthday doctor.
  13. Thanks for the props on the bar guys and gals. It still needs a little tweaking but overall I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. Now to find a little time to actually use it.
  14. Bah! We have visitors arriving that weekend for the Thanksgiving holiday. I wonder if I could sneak away?
  15. Mine arrived yesterday. Another big thanks to Lil'Knight and Deepak.
  16. I'm not sure I would put much stock in the lines this early on. On another note, Knowshon Moreno sucked.
  17. Thanks Al, it seemed an appropriate opening drink. The recipe I found for the Monte Carlo also called for rye but it was dam tasty with Bourbon. I need to try the Not Theory, sounds pretty good. Decided to up the ante on the Sazerac
  18. I could never pick Brady on principal.
  19. I like the Partida reposado. I will try the Casa Noble when I can find it. The premiere drink has to be Sazerac
  20. Mine too. Unfortunately the soccer tournament was in Bloomington, IL. Not nearly so nice.
  21. Happy birthday!
  22. My new bar. The money shot
