Wow so it converts all files to wav and then stores the whole damn thing in memory. And although the dude claims it has no GUI which helps the sound and whatnot, he's pretty much using the OS as the GUI... only way it would not be GUI based is if everything was actually command line. It's close though. It's been hard comparing since there is no tracking so I can't compare anything except the beginnings of each song one after the other. There is a difference, foobar is slightly more mid-centric and muddy so far imo. Sometimes the muddiness is actually nice since it smooths out and warms the sound a bit. Actually just got around to comparing the two. Using laptop integrated audio -> Head-Direct RE-Zero, my new main rig.
If we are talking about the same thing, I totally do not dig that sea chanty/jig/celtic/whateverthatis influence in any context. Same with bagpipes. And folk type music in general.
Hey, speak of the devil! 1.4um is pretty damn close to what Stax are using, how about trying to use less tension? That, or the Micro Seiki pads aren't sealing properly.
[Mr. Mackey]Puncturing your headphone driver with a screwdriver and then selling them to other people without mentioning it is bad, mmkay? [/Mr. Mackey]
Good luck on the repair job, Fitz.
Try not to move around too much, asphyxiation is bad for you. I hope the best for your grandfather. Both of mine are dead, and I never even met one of them.
I can't wait for adulthood. What I'm suffering from now is a distinct lack of it.
The mystery is solved! Thanks KG. Though that means there is no longer a reason for the squealing issues some people have other than poor QC.
Poor blown-up ESP950s. If I ever have a child I'm locking all my audio stuff up until he/she is old enough to understand not blowing my shit up. All my headphones are vintage, there is no warranty or replacements outside of somehow managing to find another pair.
Had a long day, which followed a long week, which followed a long month, which followed a long semester. And it's not over yet. Sometimes I wonder what the fuck I'm doing, and by sometimes I mean always.
Happy independence day. I enjoy the irony quite so.
