Wasn't paying too much attention to treble extension when I listened. I think I heard it on Doug's prototype loooooooooong amp, and was busy playing around with the output impedance switch. That was fun. I definitely want to try the MS-2i and MS-Pro.

That's exactly what makes it impressive for a John Grado, it doesn't have huge treble spikes or a 10dB bass hump. Or both.

I heard a pair at CJ as well and they are indeed impressive, for a John Grado. Probably the best John Grado I've heard. Still not worth owning, for me, especially since I couldn't get it to sit right on my ears. I think the one I tried had bowls.

There must be something to that rig (Sony CDP + GS-1) since I really liked the HD800 with it. Didn't get to try any other headphones with it. Was the CDP the XA-5400ES? I don't remember.

It's probably Colin's since I know his was measured. I covered up one of the vents with my fingers on swt61's pair of TPs like I did Colin's before he plugged one up on his and it sounded a lot better. The bottom ones are the five measurements that Tyll took, each with a slightly different positioning on the dummy head.

Well, iirc Colin's pair looked a fair amount better, but he retuned the damping beforehand. And is it me or is the LCD2 down 20dB at just before 15kHz?
