Now that you've done it, might keep an eye out for similar situations. I wonder if there's an easy way to set and forget the camera on tripod, so you wouldn't have to keep snapping the shutter.

Nate, good stuff.. I think maybe to get a better stop motion sequence, copy each photo like 3-5 times and then use that for the video. Should give you more raw photos so the video sequence lasts longer. I'm not sure exactly how you were going about getting it to do stop-motion, but a quick Google turned up this. Maybe it'll help.

That to. Now that I think about it, they've said on TWiT and other talk shows that the netbook market provides fairly low margins. So it could just be about the money.

Well said. I have a feeling that that sentiment is due largely to Steve Jobs' influence. Probably sees it as unbecoming or something.

Yeah, another good point about the Zune release. I guess Microsoft lowered the price on that quite a bit, but now Apple's going to destroy it by offering a revamped iPod for the same price. Totally take the focus off the Zune. If I didn't like their products so much, I'd be really pissed at Apple.

Now the rumor mill is all abuzz with tales of iPod updates in early September rather than a tablet device. Seems to me like it could be covert PR by the Apple folk. Personally, I'm much more interested in the release of Snow Leopard, which has been rumored to be released this month, but I think they'll do a combined release of SN with an iPod refresh in early Sept.

I have a pair of FiveFingers Classic. Haven't used them enough to draw any conclusions, but I'll keep at it.

A Refurb Denon DVD-758 for $56 shipped. Not too bad for an entry-level SACD player.
