One thing to watch out for is interference. I experimented with a switchbox several years ago that had many in/outputs, and I used plain hookup wire. There were all sorts of grounding and interference issues, so I would suggest using shielded cabling on the internals of the switchbox.

Bought two of these to go with the random 100+ CD lot I got off of eBay for $30. Also hoping to pick up the 155-CD Bach set at some point.

I've been cycling almost every day this summer, and I've just been sticking with iBuds. The only other portables I have are PX-100, and the helmet makes those unfeasible. I definitely wouldn't recommend IEMs, because it is important to be able to hear at least something of the road noise.

Did a few more comparison tracks between the HD580s and the GS1000s. I'm getting a pretty clear picture of what I like and dislike about both headphones. I will probably get a nice long write-up done in a few weeks as well.

I've already posted this over on the 'Fi, but I thought it'd be a good idea to get some 'Casers there too! I'm still working on reserving a conference room, but I'd like to know if anyone here is interested, so I can gauge about how many people will show up.

I've been demoing Zanth's pair of GS-1000s for the past week, in comparison against my HD580s. It might be that I've only really ever listened to HD580s for the past 2 years, but I already shudder anytime a female singer has an S to sing.. not a pleasant feeling for me.

Not exactly a concert, but I just got back from a great performance of the Shakespeare comedy, "As You Like It". My school got a traveling drama company to perform it, and I enjoyed it very much!

Now you're just arguing semantics... lame is just a word I use to express disappointment. Maybe it's just the grammatical failings of my college-age generation, but I don't retract my previous statement; HR should have had the foresight to prevent this from occurring. To me, it's pretty obvious that when you heavily discount a product like the k601s were, then you're going to sell quite a few; steps should have been taken to prevent more orders than they had supply for. This doesn't, by any means, mean I'm never going to order anything from HR ever again; far from it, I'm probably going to order some black olive foamies for my SE530s pretty soon here. I was just annoyed that I ordered a product and then found out they took way too many orders for the number of products they had in stock.

No.. just disappointed I didn't get the steal I thought I was.. it's not really that big a deal.
