I'd hit the pawn shops looking for an inexpensive integrated or power amp. I don't think you'll find much in your budget that isn't used. Oh, and you might look for a Gain Clone as well.

You know, I was afraid of PTP wiring for the longest time but the more that I thought about it I figured it was pretty much the same approach that I take when laying out a project in a chassis. In the end it wasn't really all that big of a deal and I actually enjoyed the experience a great deal.

Ignoring the "buy" part of that statement I believe that Pete said he was going to bring his to CanJam so we could see how it does. I think that I'd read (but clearly never tried myself) about folks using the original with decent results. Sure, you can create a waiting list, of course all it will amount to is that you'll have a place to wait indefinitely.

Thanks Mike. I doubt it'll get lots, IIRC from NYC there was a whole host of tasty gear. Never going to happen. No serial numbers, no production. If you want this amp (or more correctly one like it) you're going to have to learn to DIY.
