Ety P to S converter cable - sounded like my boy Reks needed one to use with his Touch and one happened to pop up cheap on HF this morning so I grabbed it. Expect this to show up in the "what you sold" thread soon.

Nine Inch Nails - Ghosts I-IV
Agreed, I sampled IV for a while this morning and there's some good stuff there for sure. Even for a non NIN fanboy like myself.

Nine Inch Nails - Ghosts I-IV
Thanks Todd. I'm not a huge NIN fan but it's worth checking out.

Anyone catch The Sarah Conner Chronicles?
Damnit, forgot to transfer the Seasons Pass to Tivo for this so I missed it. Guess I'll be dl'ing it tomorrow.

Sweet! You're about an hour and 15 from my house, I think that's mini-meet range.

Happy Birthday Nate!
The Ipod Touch will have to do for now. Hopefully a refund associated with the return of a certain laptop will process tomorrow which might go to fund errrm, something else.

Not bought yet, but I may have to buy a MAC purely so that I can play this. http://www.superhappyfunfun.com/games/gam_returntodc.html Dark Castle and Return to Dark Castle were two of my favorite games growing up.

In my head it's a more useful eeepc, longer battery life, more storage and can do the light computing (web, email) that I would have used an eeepc for. Granted it's smaller, but then again I few that as a bonus, not a bummer.

Flash Gordon
Downloaded the first episode, can't wait till the Touch shows up so I can watch stuff like this while soldering.

Recommendation for an External HD for Mac?
For those of you now on the Buy.com mailing list one of the current specials is a 750GB WD "My Book" external drive for $159 w/ free shipping. That's about as cheap as I've seen that much storage.

Political discussion, including, but not limited to, the Iraq war and Bush II
I think you mean FEMA. I have no idea what FIMA would have to do with the Superdome.

Happy Birthday Nate!
It is an honor and a privilege to share my birthday with Token.

Post what you're watching
So far it's pretty good and a definite upgrade over the stock Comcast software. It's still not as good as the real thing but I think now that they've gotten over the initial hurdle of getting the software to work with the Comcast box I have hope that they'll be able to refine it to work even better.

Powered speakers or keep my amp
What source were you using with the CKKIII?
-
Powered speakers or keep my amp
I'm surprised to hear that, the CKKIII isn't exactly a slouch when it comes to power. That's not in any way meant to contradict your listening experience but I'd be surprised if the NAD has anything all that special attached to its headphone jack.

Yeah, I figured if nothing else it'll be the ultimate CanJam flying companion.

They have some "decent" deals on 16GB refurbs right now at the apple store. I would have gone that route if I hadn't been able to score another 10% off that price. Without knowing how it'll work for me I just couldn't pull a Jacob and go bleeding edge with the 32GB version, yet.

16GB Ipod Touch - figured I'd give it a whirl w/ a less expensive used one and if the concept works for me I'll probably upgrade to the 32GB version in a couple months. HBTM.

Happy Birthday Nate!
Thanks everyone. Had the family down to the house yesterday for a little party and it was good fun. Now, time to figure out what I'm going to buy myself for my birthday.

Tube buffers..
Yes, it's all a semantic argument really.

Would anyone here want to climb Everest?
10 years ago maybe, today no way. I used to rock climb a bit, cliff dive a bit and generally behave like I had nothing to worry about. Those days are now long behind me.

Fluke 179?
Seems like a good price for a meter that can do the normal stuff plus capacitance and temp, I'd like to have a meter that had both of those functions as well.

PX100 vs PX200, Faulty Headphones vs Authentic
I'd guess that it was the result of a rare form of guestitis he was clearly infected with.

Fluke 179?
Probably a nice meter but you could also probably live with a lot less. If you're one of those people (like me) who generally buys good tools because you know you'll use them for a long time, buy it. Otherwise for a third of that budget you can get something that will handle most of what you would need for DIY and everything you'd need unless you get really hardcore.

There's a simple solution to that, Priority Mail.
