I'd shoot any vendors you're interested in an e-mail a few weeks ahead of time to see if they'll be selling any of the demo products. Many do, and at special prices. Salk Audio is one in particular that always seems to unload their gear right at the show.

In the process of driving to Peoria this morning, I was pulled over and received a speeding ticket from a state cop for $140. Not a good birthday present.

Belated thank you to everyone for the birthday wishes! I had a great day quickly followed by thanksgiving and Black Friday and this is the first chance I had to say thanks. Love everyone .

Thanks Frank. I have to agree though, luck plays a huge role. Half my team in the 8 league was auto drafted. Even though I did use my preferences for the auto, it still landed me guys I would have likely passed on. Most notably my RB's. I don't think I would have picked Lynch, Gore, or Lacy but I ended up with three very stable, dependable guys in a year where RB's are generally horrible. I did key in a few other good picks such as Antonio Brown, and luckily that was for both leagues. I'll take credit for the team's depth on the bench though. And rotating D/ST and K. Season's not over, still anyone's game come playoff time.

I was surprised to see today that Axpona is staying in Chicago for another year, this time at the Westin (which is hopefully a hotel upgrade). Last year John, Marc, Mike, and myself had a hell of a weekend in Chicago (see evidence). I would like to continue this tradition if possible since again, it's an international show that's less than 30 min. from my doorstep. I missed Brees in my 10-team game this week against Shelly. Foles was completely horrible. I now need Hakeem Nicks to put up another giant goose-egg tonight. Not gonna happen against the Vikings.

During one song he stuck his entire fist in his mouth, leaned back, and pretended to puke it out. For the finale's chorus, he just screamed nonsense. Wat. Da. Fuk.

Seeing Phantogram at the Vic on the north side of Chicago tonight. We're watching the opening act, Future Islands, as I write this and I honestly can say this is the fucking weirdest band I've ever heard. They are straight synth pop, but the vocalist is doing a combination of a Fat Albert impersonation and death metal growls. All while dancing around the stage like he's in a ska band. I seriously can't tell if this whole act is a joke or not, but Allison and I are laughing our asses off at how bad this is.

Ah damn. I was hoping Brent would hold some new record for worst D/ST start in any of our leagues ever.

Oh and currently Titan's D/ST has -16. Suck it Brent.
