I hope it works out for you. Was it a dynamic fit with trackers? I have had that and more recently a old fashioned one. They ended up in the same spot and both recommended 177.5 mm cranks rather than the 175 I run. I may just swing for changing the crank length on the Quarq.

I think I can probably go but now I am having second thoughts seeing as it's 70 miles away.

Sorry Raffy. That's how it goes around here. I think we get in about 2500 on the local shop ride route which is about 30 miles.

Ben does the price change between the routes or over the next couple days? I need to see how tomorrow goes and talk to my wife.

Ben, I would like to do it but Ben (my son) is currently sick and I am not registering yet.

And now what did you do TODAY?
Great pics. Better cast now than permanent pain later.

Justin you joined a club? Cool beans. I'm not sure I need a cross bike but there are a few races/rides that sort of need/recommend them (hilly billy roubaix, mountains of misery) around here and there is also the C&O canal trail across from work which could be fun to ride too. Also it would be nice in the winter. I really should have just gotten the cross bike when I bought the MTB because I think I would have used it more.

TCX SLR 1 probably.

Yeah he's proposing putting a cross bike for me in with a team order to Giant. That way I get the team prices which is less than he can give me because Giant marks down the wholesale a lot for teams. We'll see but I'm pretty excited. That said I haven't cleared it with my wife. I may need to cancel my Surface Pro 2 order which isn't really a big deal.

Good work Dan! My buddy at my shop has probably convinced me to buy a cross bike... Anyone interested in going to that ride with Jens Voigt on the weekend?

Microsoft Surface Pro WTF
Well that didn't work out as I thought and the 256 GB is now pre-order for December 15th. I've placed the order and hope they beat the ship date.

Pretty serious injuries: broken collarbone, ribs and collapsed lung. He's a macho military man so he's being pretty flippant about the whole thing. Not sure how much experience but my guess was this was through his bike shop (he moonlights there sometimes)

Why roadies should not ride mtb: one of my friends was out at a ski resort doing some downhill riding. He gets out of the hospital tomorrow.

Microsoft Surface Pro WTF
Since it doesn't look like it's actually going to sell out and I am in no rush I'm going to wait a bit. If and when my 3D printer ships I'll order one with the type keyboard.

And now what did you do TODAY?
Nice Nate!

Microsoft Surface Pro WTF
Yeah I am going to get the type cover.

Jens Voigt is doing a charity ride on 10/19 in Baltimore. Anyone interested? http://savealimbride.org/Uploads/Public/mobile/SALR-mobile/SALR.html I love Jens! Edit: I'm thinking metric myself but could do the 30 if that's the consensus.

Microsoft Surface Pro WTF
Thinking that I will pre-order one myself. Retire my computrainer laptop to running my 3D printer (if it ever f'ing arrives) and my current laptop to becoming the computrainer laptop. What keybord cover are you planning to use. I'm leaning towards the type cover but touch cover may be good.

Not serious pain just a moderate shooting pain down my right leg (and sometimes left) that comes on about an hour into a ride unless I have my chamois positioned just right. I just stop and futz around with it a bit and it improves to a dull burning sensation along the outside of my thigh and calf. Not willing to stop riding over it.

One of my team members just became Retul certified and was already a chiropractor. He's offering fits dirt cheap and because he's in my network I will only have to pay the co-pay. Sciatic pain may finally get figured out. I'm hopeful.
