  1. It is so. I reported it soon after he started talking about a third party doing pickup and paying with certified check...
  2. Tried to sell something on Craigslist. Fucking scammers.
  3. Great ride Nate. That is very fast on that downhill. I have almost hit that. I have become a downhill wuss since having kids. Every time I get up speed I start having visions of Meaghan having to deal with the kids while I recover.
  4. At the end of my ride yesterday the rear tubular on my bike was losing air so I tried treatments with two bottles of Hutchinson Fast'Air which was very messy and not very effective. It did seem to be stopped so I gave it a try this afternoon and it basically covered my bike in latex. Fucking awesome. Replacement tire is well over $100 and the glue is extra. Yay. Edit: For the record: First world problems for sure. Not really a big deal.
  5. Happy belated birthday!
  6. Did 50+ miles this morning. I have forgotten that I need to drink in the first hour for the third hour not to suck. Still felt great to be out and about
  7. Power meter is officially for sale for $900. You guys know that you want it. Wish I had more posts on Paceline. Can't sell shit there.
  8. Cool stretch. Put on my Suunto today and realized that they shipped it to me with a scuff on the rubber band. I have emailed them but if they don't come through my shop says that they will fix it.
  9. Dropped my trusty old Trek 1200 off to my bike shop to get a tune up and then be boxed up with some spare parts and pump and by next week it will likely be on a ship to Barbados. Riding in Barbados here I come! Edit: Chris those wheelbuilding pics are awesome. There is a guy here that teaches a class in building that I'd love to take sometime.
  10. Fair enough. I already asked the question anyway as it could be useful with any sale
  11. Well I just looked and if you were to buy a new S975 crank arm at 170mm I can do the recalibration etc. I could contact Quarq and see if they could do the switch as I am pretty sure it's a service that they offer.
  12. Oops: 175mm crank arm length
  13. Would anyone around here be interested in a Quarq Cinqo Saturn SRAM S975 with 110BCD and SRAM Red Yaw 50/34 chainrings? I could throw in 52/36 chainrings (Older Red) and recalibrate to that too. I'm thinking of selling it to get a set of Vector pedals as I've got too many bikes to move stuff around to and those would be better for me.
  14. Ripped a hole in a seat cushion on the boat when attempting a cast. Fuck. Didn't even catch anything. Double fuck. Father in law caught 2 including a 22 inch largemouth bass. Triple fuck.
  15. I guess I forgot to check the clearance on this before my ride. Click click click... Bam. No damage that I can find other than possibly a scratched sticker on the Zipps. Fun ride and did it in about the same amount of time as Saturday.
  16. Congrats on finishing that many miles Vicki. I am going head out in 20min for another 20 or so but my total in 3 days will only be like 70 miles. No epic rides for me unless it's a special event. There is a timed century/Gran Fondo in Richmond in October that I am thinking of doing. I may just have to bite the bullet.
  17. That could be the choices made during the conversion. See if the smoothness stays after converting back to PCM.
  18. Have a great ride guys. I hope to ride too. If I don't get going in the morning then the afternoon.
  19. You are more than welcome to train with me any time we are down there. You can borrow the house if we aren't.
  20. Not near his best I'm sorry to say. I am not sure of the relative now but a few months ago he was faster than me by a good margin. He's a good guy though. He and his wife are cool. They were visiting me for that ride.
  21. I know John I can set up a race
  22. Congrats Vicki! That's awesome! Me: Been riding with my father in law who only started riding a few months ago and he's been pushing me really hard. Lots of fun. Just uploaded to strava and set KOM and moved up a lot of leader boards. Feels good. 2 more days of riding. Huge thanks to Jeff for loaning us the Calfee for him to ride.
  23. Thanks Brent. I decided to just ride the Giant more and ship my 2005 Trek 1200 to Barbados as I will only be riding it once or twice a year.
  24. Good luck with it Vicki
