  1. I thought that the 404 where 1650 (without rimstrips) but I was off. I figured between the rim strip and the ultralight skewers 400 was about right. Apparently the ruling from the Internet is that the mad fiber are stiffer side to side. I am not sure I buy that but I have not been done a detailed back and forth.
  2. Jeff that sounds about right on the stiffness. They do weight 400+grams less. That said I'm not sure that the stiffness difference will make any difference in efficiency and they certainly ride smoother.
  3. Awesome ride Nate!
  4. My other Tifosi glasses are 2+ years old I think and look basically new with only very minor lens scratching after a lot of dropping (though none at speed). Their frames are a lot less fragile than the Oakley plastic (or at least the Oakley's I used to own) and the other thing I like is that you can bend the area with the rubber to get them to grip less/more. These ones are much lighter feeling though. I have no skin in the Tifosi game I'm just a fan not a shill
  5. Well after the first ride in them my review is that they are great and really great for the money. The only thing that would make them even better for me was if they were available polarized but I don't think that exists.
  6. Nate the amazon description is wrong but the only Seek FC with "carbon" frame is fototech.
  7. Good work getting out for a ride. I only made it to the gym today because I had promised Ben we'd go in the "pool"
  8. http://www.amazon.com/Tifosi-Seek-FC-0190400170-Sunglasses/dp/B005P196TK/ref=sr_1_1?s=sporting-goods&ie=UTF8&qid=1373793232&sr=1-1&keywords=tifosi+seek+fc Seems pretty good to me.
  9. Nate the Seek FC fototech with the day night lenses. I already had the Logic with the same lens which I really like. The trails around here have a lot of varying lighting conditions and they work great for me. BTW I got them from my shop to support them but Amazon has great prices.
  10. Got my new Tifosi glasses today. They are so light and I look forward to trying them out tomorrow. Seem a bit smaller than my logic but the face coverage seems good.
  11. Not sure what if anything I said but I hope to ride as much as possible and get below 190 and that's about it. If I can fit in a crazy gran Gran Fondo like the Jeremiah Bishop Gran Fondo that would be cool but not essential. Edit: Well JBGF is out because I will be out of town. This looks suitably crazy: http://ridewithgps.com/routes/1363618
  12. So very true Dan. Not sure why people think that building in gcc is going to be anything but slow (relative).
  13. RIP
  14. Florida law only allows purchase directly from manufacturer apparently. (I'm waiting for a repair and bored so I looked it up, not an apple user)
  15. I didn't watch the final stage as the timing was challenging and I didn't really care. I caught a replay of sprint and that's about it. I think Froome is probably clean (I actually buy his parasite explaination) and I think he's a worthy winner but I just don't really like him. I'm not sure why as he really has the whole package and is even agressive/explosive but I just don't. I may come around. I think next years tour with a more on form Contador, a faster in TT Quintana and Froome with a couple others thrown in the mix is going to be fun to watch. On the sprinting side I think Cavendish will figure things out again and wasn't on top form this year (he was sick for a significant portion of the tour).
  16. Jeff I mean it you were riding strong today and I really think that the ex division 1 player is already coming out.
  17. Thanks for the great ride Jeff. I think that if you keep at it you will be dropping me in no time
  18. Don't know why it took me so long to think of it but a few days ago I realized that I could turn down the hot tub and I now have a backyard pool to play with the kids in. Went in twice today already. So much fun.
  19. Bummer Nate. I wussed out and did an hour on the elliptical at the gym
  20. Let's meet at my house. I meant if I was coming to you.
  21. Anyone is welcome. Where are we meeting?
  22. No cliff that I remember. We can skip some of the steeper stuff though. Nothing worse than the hills in that loop that I can think of. That said I'm happy to come to you
  23. Either way there is climbing I was planning on that Hollin Hills neighborhood. I hate to ask you to drive over again but it would make it a lot easier on me. I will owe you one.
  24. Well 90 min from the trail to that hill loop and back or we can ride out of here and make it up since I know my way better. Edge 800 for the win!
