I have no use for religion myself. I just wish those that are religious would keep it to themselves and not try to force their religious views on the rest of us.

I've been on the University of Florida campus for about 6 weekends in the last 6 months and I found it refreshing that young people were so passionate about Obama and politics in general. I don't see the enthusiasm as a negative. My 19 year old daughter was as excited as I was when Obama won. I don't think, however, that she considered him a "mythological hero". Perhaps a hero but I would have to agree, as I stated earlier.

No one should be trusted out of hand. I don't know that I consider him a mythological hero, as you put it. However, I can't help but look at what happened last night a pretty special in the history of this country. Does that make him a hero, I think so. Does that make me forget he is also a politician, absolutely not.

I certainly don't believe you are a racist but there are plenty out there. I ran into a guy I coached roller hockey with about 5 years ago. We were at our sons ice hockey game and he sees my Obama button and approaches me. He says "Obama"? I said "is there anyone else"? He then starts talking to me about Obama giving reparations to the "blacks" and that this is not good for "white america". I called his comment racist and he just didn't understand. Obviously, this is just one example and certainly not representative of all or anywhere near a majority of McCain supporters but there are plenty out there.

I couldn't give a shit whether you choose to say "Happy Jesus Day" on Easter or any other day. I would laugh a little at how silly I considered that but I would respect your right to say it. For those of you that want to put a damper on a truly historic happening, would you really have preferred McCain? The times in our history when Dems have been in control of the Presidency and Congress, some pretty good things happened. Will he be perfect, no, do I agree with all his positions, no but I believe he will do some great things. I am far more to the left than he is. At least we have a chance that great things will happen. With the alternative I don't believe we had the same chance. Happy Obama Day!

Laine, cute pic! I was doing my duty yesterday at the polls. People waiting for 7 hours to vote. I didn't leave the precinct (polls closed at 4) until 10:40 and there were still 30 people waiting to vote.

Oz has a tube tester at his shop so I should be okay in that regard.

I really enjoyed the 1.2's when I heard them. I preferred them to the O2 mkii out of the 007t by a longshot. I thought that they would be where the stat experiment would end for me but at $1500 I'm not so sure. I have nam's 1.2b arriving this week as well as Vicki's O2 mki to compare. I will also hear the Jade in a couple of weeks so I guess I will reserve judgment until then. At $1800 I'm not sure I would even consider the possibility.

I just paid for the Headamp Blue Hawaii for sale on Head-Fi.

Stowa is a nice watch. I'm told by the owner of the company that makes the ceramic watch that it would likely take a hard blow by a hammer to break the case. The bezel is the weakest part and is easily replaced. It will not scratch so under almost all circumstances it should hold up as good, if not better than a steel case.

I think Headamp is coming out with a USB DAC of similar quality, it's called the Pico DAC.
