Windows 7
Yup, I'm afraid that's the case, however if they want us to keep green, why change something that works well... (it's obvious I'm more of an audio geek than a computer one )

Windows 7
It's an old Radeon 7500 which on XP supports the 100Hz refresh rate so the monitor won't flick at 1152x864. On W7 it just installs generic VGA drivers which won't allow highish refreshing rates, nor my preferred resolution. I've tried to install several different drivers for Ati cards, almost everything I've been able to find, but most of them simply won't get installed. Some seem to go through, but in the last step, they don't install, so W7 keeps the generic VGA. I keep checking Ati site, but they don't seem to be interested in releasing W7 drivers for such an old GPU. I'd rather keep using XP than getting a new GPU for this computer

Windows 7
I installed the RC and while I liked it a lot, way more than Vista for sure, the lack of drivers for my graphics card, so it won't go any higher than 60Hz refresh (still using a CRT), made me keep using XP. Is it possible to download the RTM for the non MSDN subscribers? If so, from where? I've been checking MS Technet site and only keep the RC download, which will end on the 20th.

What did you do today?
So they started "preparing" you already. Well, good luck, let's see what the MRI says. If you're not planning to practice sports, you might do pretty well without ACL repair surgery...
-
What did you do today?
sorry to read that mate I hope the MRI doesn't confirm those suspicions, but I'm afraid I am not very optimistic Did they suggest at some point any sort of surgical procedure if the ACL or meniscus are damaged?

Al, for your description of the accident I'm afraid you may have some serious ligaments damage, even the meniscus, but the first thing is just having simple Rx to discard bone fractures. Once inflammation goes down, they'll see, probably a RMI scan is needed to have a complete diagnosis, though that's not the most important. Many times RMI can't give as much information as an arthroscopic procedure. I wish you don't need that By now just take your pills, rest and try to enjoy your music. Keep us posted and get well.

Ha, he won't need to threaten the doctor to get the tests he needs. I for one immensely dislike asshat patients trying to push my work. Not that it affects its quality, but it does my empathy. Maybe going to a good one is just enough Get well soon Al. I'm afraid you're going to need some rest and using crutches for a while. Hopefully not, let's know

Omega 2 vs K1000 shootout
Thanks for the comments Deepak, very interesting. I understand well what you're speaking about on the midrange detail, even using the 717 or the SRD7 hooked up to the B22 those details are amazingly well portrayed. It had been great including the HD800 in such comparison, I guess they'd do better than the K1000 too.
