I guess that bank really doesn't want anyone to last on hold for more than a few seconds -

Steve bought the makings of a couple of feasts at Costco yesterday, so Claire and I made one last night. Grilled halibut two ways, grilled marinated shrimp, green beans with shitakes and shallots, and corn. Claire also made a strawberry-blueberry galette but I don't have a pic. I'm still full.

Cool Nate. How big is that thing? Where will you use it?

Love the Traeger cutting board Nate! The magnets are a genius touch.

I have a REL R-205 sub that looks like a similar size. I use it for HT duty with Gallo wall speakers. I haven't tried it with the Cicadas and very little with music but I think it would be a good fit with the Cicadas. It isn't slow and bloated from what I can tell. Makes me want to try it with the Cicadas now, although I would have to use the tape out on the Moth passive pre.

Claire had just read about Run the Jewels somewhere so we listened to 2 and 4 last night. Good stuff that I want to hear on headphones.

Did it fall off a truck into your garage? 😜

Mostly today, with a little work yesterday, I built Claire a ballet barre for sheltered in place Zoom classes from the SF Ballet and her longstanding barre exercise place, The Daily Method.

She was just so two dimensional that night.

That's a different Avishai Cohen, Jose, but I'll check him out. The other Israeli jazz musician of the same name plays trumpet and has a big beard.

Cool album with a very cool jazz take on Teardrop by Massive Attack

Reunited after 26 years, each of the members of the original Joshua Redman Quartet are too big to play under that name any more. Looking forward to the full album in July, but checking out a couple songs available.

RIP Jimmy Cobb, last surviving member of the Kind of Blue session. We saw him play a few times, including a Kind of Blue anniversary show a few years ago. He was still drumming pretty strong then, even in his 80s. I also met him after an SFJAZZ show in 2011, and he was a gracious man. I hope they get the band back together on the other side. https://www.npr.org/2020/05/25/845814061/jimmy-cobb-the-pulse-of-kind-of-blue-dies-at-91

At least you won't have far to go when you fall off of it.
