June 12, 201412 yr Author comment_640337 every year I lose more than I gain it seems. I just went for a bike ride on a rail trail on the salsa, and 8 miles wore me out. I'm almost always miserable the first 5-10 miles, then things kick in and I'm happy. Of course, I'm guessing even your rail trails have hills, so I doubt I would even have made eight miles. Report
June 12, 201412 yr comment_640338 and we did it in the wrong direction, downhill first, then up to end. Dumb My 15 yr old daughter kept having to slow down to wait for me. That's NEVER happened before. Report
June 12, 201412 yr comment_640344 Man. you're getting old Dan. Maybe even fat and slow like me And you always ride into the wind outbound, or pay the price later. Sub downhill/uphill for wind as may be. Report
June 12, 201412 yr comment_640353 My 15 yr old daughter kept having to slow down to wait for me. That's NEVER happened before. Sounds like a good reason to do it again tomorrow. Report
June 12, 201412 yr comment_640364 Looking like this rain might put a dent in our mtb plans. Sent from my nerd phone using Tapatalk Yeah, and it's doubtful it'll dry up in time. Road ride instead? Report
June 12, 201412 yr comment_640365 I'm really only in for a trail ride right now. You guys have fun tho. Report

June 12, 201412 yr comment_640367 I am holding out for MTB on Saturday. If not then I guess it is just the boring road ride on Sunday. Report
June 12, 201412 yr comment_640369 Going to be riding at the lake this weekend. Sorry to miss Colin but hopefully we can set something else up soon. Team HC ride in Sept? Report

We did the white loop with the SMOREs. I can't imagine that the yellow loop could be any better. Mud in lots of places even where it isn't. Trails are a mess. June 13, 201412 yr comment_640457 Maybe it will be possible to do MTB on Sunday and road bike on Saturday. Not sure if the trails might dry with the sunny Saturday that is projected or now. Report
June 13, 201412 yr comment_640473 I can join in for road on Saturday morning. For Sunday, unfortunately I can't stray away for more than 2 hrs so MTB is out for me. Report
June 13, 201412 yr comment_640490 So you don't want to come down to Silver Spring for a road ride on Saturday Dan. It is really not a difficult ride and we take it pretty leisurely. Who would be up for a Rock Creek Park ride Saturday 9:30-10:00ish? Report
