every year I lose more than I gain it seems.  I just went for a bike ride on a rail trail on the salsa, and 8 miles wore me out.

I'm almost always miserable the first 5-10 miles, then things kick in and I'm happy.  Of course, I'm guessing even your rail trails have hills, so I doubt I would even have made eight miles.

What's in da baaaahhhhhxxxxx? Some parts. Darker blue than we thought. Happiest kid in the world in this moment. **BRENT**

  • Liked the Turbo Vado Super Light so much, I bought another one in Michigan. Same silver and black. We couldn't find Claire an SL in Northern Michigan or online so we got her the  regular Turbo Vado 5.

  • I bought an e-bike. Specialized Turbo Vado 5.0 Super Light 2022 edition. Claire got a 4.0 step-through.

Man. you're getting old Dan. Maybe even fat and slow like me

And you always ride into the wind outbound, or pay the price later. Sub downhill/uphill for wind as may be.

Ouch! Is that current? If so, where?

Nah, Dan was translating my previous post: "sandbagging"

My 15 yr old daughter kept having to slow down to wait for me. That's NEVER happened before.

Sounds like a good reason to do it again tomorrow. :D

Looking like this rain might put a dent in our mtb plans.

Yeah, and it's doubtful it'll dry up in time. Road ride instead?

I am holding out for MTB on Saturday.  If not then I guess it is just the boring road ride on Sunday.

Going to be riding at the lake this weekend. Sorry to miss Colin but hopefully we can set something else up soon.

Team HC ride in Sept?

this is from the MOREmtb forum: (and this was before last night's rain....)

Muddy, probably too muddy to ride. We did the white loop with the SMOREs. I can't imagine that the yellow loop could be any better. Mud in lots of places even where it isn't. Trails are a mess. frown.gif

Stupid rain.  I might just stay home all weekend and watch the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Maybe it will be possible to do MTB on Sunday and road bike on Saturday.  Not sure if the trails might dry with the sunny Saturday that is projected or now.

I can join in for road on Saturday morning. For Sunday, unfortunately I can't stray away for more than 2 hrs so MTB is out for me.

So you don't want to come down to Silver Spring for a road ride on Saturday Dan.  It is really not a difficult ride and we take it pretty leisurely.  Who would be up for a Rock Creek Park ride Saturday 9:30-10:00ish?

Colin will be the anchor.  He will be on my R5 with flat pedals.

Assuming my mtb ride gets rained out I can make it to the Sat ride :)

Raining pretty hard here at the moment. I know the Fountainhead MTB ribbon cutting / MORE picnic has already announced trails there are closed this weekend.

Yeah, ground is pretty soaked. I saw a few trees down around the parkway this AM.

.....

It was a trail over in Delaware, which is why I wasn't sure, but it's confirmed that it's cancelled. When and where is everyone meeting tomorrow?

4425 Garrett Park Rd Silver Spring, MD 20906

I don't know what time Jeff and Colin are showing up.
